Our 2014 Visit

5 of 5
My family met here for a week vacation this summer. We had an outstanding week and truly enjoyed this great lake home. From the spacious and very clean interior to the outside decks and fantastic view over the lake it is a wonderful place to vacation. We liked it so much we are booked for next year!! The home is outfitted with all the amenities, especially in the kitchen you could need. Access to the washer and dryer was great.

A Great Find

5 of 5
We were so pleased with our stay. The cottage has just the right amount of old charm, the decor is very pretty. It was so nice to have parking a block away from the beach. Close to town yet we felt really "away from it all". It was fun to watch the horses at the stable. Thanks for welcoming us and our dog, Roscoe. I think he had more fun than we did!! We will be back!

(Too) Short & Sweet Very Memorable Family Vacation

5 of 5
My large (25 person), extended family and I stayed at the Dream Retreat a few weeks ago for an all-too-short two nights but had such a splendid time, we have already booked a full week next Summer! Grilling out and eating dinners on the deck with the IN Dunes Park and Lake Michigan as a backdrop were breathtaking. When not at the beach, our kids played a lot of volleyball—Hilary mentioned during the tour that it was Olympic grade. The house was spacious and had all the things we needed. In most vacation rentals we’ve stayed at in the past, we usually have to bring our own beach towels, trash bags, spices, foil, paper towels, extra propane tanks, etc. Not here; they had it all! The ladies loved how clean everything was inside and out, as well as the décor and furnishings. The pull-out sofa in the Guest House was the most comfortable ever—it’s actually a Temperpedic Memory Foam like the one we have at home. Upon arrival, the owners, Jim and Hilary, patiently gave us a tour (some of the kids had been in the car way too long), answered questions, and pointed out the relevant and fun stuff to do in the area in the House Binder. Being designers ourselves, we were happy to see some of the ongoing renovations—new themed rooms, paint and furniture in several areas of the home. For us, this felt like home, we didn’t want to leave and can’t wait until next Summer at the dream Retreat!
