Beautiful conntry setting.

5 of 5
Beautiful house and property situated in a rural setting, close to boat ramps. The house is well appointed with a loft bedroom/private bath with a king bed and a ground floor bedroom with a king bed/private bath. Basement is kind of a dorm setting with several double beds. The kitchen is definately better stocked than what yoiu usually get with rental property with lots of useable kitchen utensils and appliances. Nice place fixed outside for outdoor fires with seating. We were really pleased with everything! I arrivved early and shortly a young lady showed up to let me in and showed me how everything worked this is very helpful. We highly recommend this rental and would definately stay again.

Going to Santa Claus World

4 of 5
This location is prime for a trip to Santa Claus World- now known as Holiday World. The rooms are larger than the pictures make them appear. There was more than enough room for my husband, myself, and three children- ages 2, 2, and 3. Right outside is a barn with many cows that the kids absolutely adored! Be warned that if you go in the summer, and are not use to the country, the cow smell might surprise you at first.... but having the cows outside the windows was completely worth it. We also went for a few walks up the gravel road and found a turtle and there were tons of frogs in the yard. Because the kids are so young, we spent a lot of time at the house. We had all of the meals at the house. There was a grocery store about 5-10 minutes away, so we could get all we needed. I have to include that we have stayed in VRBO places before and this was the first one that provided laundry detergent, dish washing liquid and detergent, and coffee. It is the small things that make a place special. I would also like to include that we had a few minor glitches in our stay, but the owners were above and beyond accommodating. They were so kind and thoughtful to all of our needs. We had an open line of communication after our stay. For that, I am grateful. I would recommend this property to anyone. We will return to this property for our next Santa Claus trip. Thank you for all of your kindness.

A perfect fit for our family, kids didn't want to leave

5 of 5
We had perfect fall weather the weekend we stayed, with the trees at peak color. The cabin is lovely, charming and comfortable. Our boys (5 and 2 1/2) loved running to the porch each morning to see the horses in the paddock, just steps from the cabin. The parking spot for the beach was very easy to find, beach access very convenient. The kids enjoyed roasting hot dogs in the fire pit, we adults enjoyed long evenings with a big fire in the wood stove. Stop 50 Pizza delicious as usual. Took the kids to Boo at the Zoo, which they loved, we went trail riding at the stables, and took a trip over to La Porte to the Hesston Steam Train Museum for a "Ghost Train" ride. The Galien River walk was gorgeous with all the fall foliage, kids loved collecting acorns. The cabin is very well maintained with lots of attention to the small details. It DOES have a great shower as another guest pointed out. Very peaceful and secluded, but also with very easy access to just about everything the area has to offer. The only bummer is that the kids didn't really want to leave, and our 2 1/2 year old seems to think it's "our" cabin. I think he's making plans to return…we will definitely be back. Thank you Claudia, for your hospitality.
