Great location for people who love dogs, exercise and eating out

We booked Nikki's condo for our house-hunting trip, moving back to Indy after almost forty years. The location combines nostalgic with hip: the Broad Ripple neighborhood ten blocks up College has always been "cool," and this stretch of College has reinvented itself as SoBro (South of Broad Ripple). You can find bunches of fine new restaurants, while the Red Key Tavern two blocks away has been in business since before the Korean War. So here's how you'd spend a day at College Court: rise for a leisurely breakfast across the street at Mo and Johnny's and then stop in Fresh Market (right on the corner) for a copy of the Indianapolis Star. Work off your breakfast by walking your pooch along Indy's premier rails-to-trails, the Monon, which is just three blocks away! Come back to this quiet, cozy space for an afternoon nap and then wander two blocks south for Dinner at Delicias, Indy's top-rated Latin food emporium. Then check out who's showing that evening at the Jazz Kitchen, right next door again! Tomorrow you can have breakfast at Good Morning Ma's, lunch at Yat's (Cajun: within a stones throw) or Sam's Gyro's (within sniffing distance), back to the Monon, and then dinner at the Aristocrat a mere two blocks away. Everything's within walking distance - including City Dog, for treats for your canine buddy. In the evening, head back to the Monon for a beer at local brewpub The Bent Rail. You can't beat this location - and it's convenient, comfortable and well-appointed, too. For history buffs, the site of the Fresh Market has been a grocery for almost a century: the Atlas Market stood there until it closed about ten years ago. Come see the neighborhood, drink in the history, and taste what SoBro has to offer. On top of all that, your host couldn't be more welcoming!
