GREAT PLACE TO STAY WITH FRIENDS

4 of 5
This is a great house for couples. There are three bedrooms, master bath and two other full baths (one in the finished basement). The house was clean and fully stocked. The home theater was great for watching football games. We didn't use the hot tub because it looked like it could use a good cleaning. The staircase to the basement is narrow and circular...a bit treacherous for children. It's a bit of a drive to amenities but sits on a beautiful piece of land and is worth the drive. We went hiking at Starved Rock which is about a 40 minute drive but worth it. The lodge at Starved Rock has a wonderful restaurant.

Great Place Great Vacation

5 of 5
Our family took a mini four day vacation to just spend some time together. My daughter in law found this place on line and it was PERFECT. The house is great - very comfortable, everything we needed was there! It has a great kitchen!! It was fun to use it! The house is very welcoming, and, we found that we all had our "space" and yet we had some great places to come together. The linens and towels are really nice! The location is beautiful. The Fox River is just breathtaking. During our trip, of just four nights and five days, we saw a total of 6 eagles!! How cool is that? Sitting on the back porch overlooking the river, sipping coffee and then an eagle swooped by! It was sooooo close! I have never seen one that close before. The area is lovely, we enjoyed going to Starved Rock and a few other places nearby. What an awesome place and we, all 7 of us, agreed we want to come back, if not next year, before. I would love to see the area in different seasons. The owners are really nice people. They checked to see if everything was okay and I liked that. All of us loved the wonderful guide book/area history book that was in the unit. What a nice touch. All in all, this was a wonderful place to stay, a very good value and I am glad we chose Eagle's Nest at Glen Park Estates.
