We have now stayed at The Flats at Loyola Station three times, in three different one-bedroom units. Each was decorated differently (and tastefully), but we loved each one. Having a full kitchen is great because we can stock up the fridge to eat some of our meals there (and save $). Having a washer and dryer is great because we can pack fewer clothes for our stay. The staff has been excellent and responsive. We had problems with the TV on one stay, and someone came over promptly and took care of the problem. Being close to the El makes getting around Chicago so easy. And having free parking in Chicago is.... really rare.
The reservation system is a bit odd, compared to most other places we've stayed, but they are responsive via email, and they sent all of the information we needed in a timely manner, so I guess that's okay.
Although it's weird not to have a "front desk", it is kind of nice having privacy. You really feel like the place is yours for your stay.
