Our family of four (parents and two teenagers) arrived very late (after 10 PM). Nadiya was waiting for us with a big smile and a hearty welcome. She helped us get into the covered, heated, parking space, and then gave us a detailed tour of the salient features of the apartment. Since she anticipated all possible questions, we never had the occasion to speak to her again during our stay, but we felt that we could have called on her anytime had we been in need of something.
As many families that don't fit in a single hotel room, we prefer to rent apartments. So we aren't new to this. We can say that the owner's level of commitment to making life easier for their renters is exceptional. She thought of all the right things, and particularly the items renters often have to buy in large packages, just so they can use a tiny amount (salt, pepper, spices, sugar, tea, coffee, paper towels, and toilet paper). It's all there for you in abundance. The beds are extremely comfortable and the apartment is decorate with high end furnishings with art work though out and fresh flowers to welcome you! Towels are plenty and fluffy. Appliances are everywhere and of great quality.
The neighborhood is amazingly quiet and safe. The property is in a very high-end part of downtown. Excellent restaurants are all around. I recommend Volare Ristorante for great Italian food. Access to public transportation is excellent. The blue line stop at Clark/Lake is just 3 blocks away and cabs are readily available. If you are not familiar with downtown you might not realize what a precious privilege it is to have somewhere to park your car. The complementary garage parking did accommodate our full size van (Toyota Sienna), but if you drive a real monster like an Escalade or a Hummer, you might have trouble squeezing it in.
Thank you Nadiya for such a wonderful stay!! Your attention to detail is second to none! You have made this family a lifelong guest and we hope to return to your home in Chicago!
