Yes there are trains....everywhere in the Sandpoint area...it does add to the charm after you get over the fright of them in the wee hours! LOL that was hilarious on our first night!
The home is well equipped and certainly as others have commented the pictures are not accurate as you must experience it, you cannot possibly capture the beauty, serenity or experience in a photograph. We were not disappointed with the home, the Garden of Eagen, the lake views which we said goodnight and good morning too.
Thoughtful touches abounded during our stay from a stocked pantry and spice drawer(s), to fresh flowers, binoculars, hot tub, gas out door fireplace, robes, chilled wine on our arrival and the list goes on. Worth noting is how wonderful the bed is, it certainly made for a great week having a good quality bed to sleep on!
The area has endless beauty, and so under populated! Trails were never crowded. The lake was beautiful, the hikes beautiful.
Our fur babies were able to join us and they enjoyed sunning themselves on the deck or watching the lake/birds and of course alerting us to the pika's or squirrels! We relaxed as we have never done before.
Certainly the information book is bang on! The Ice House pizza is some of the best pizza we have had! The pantry is Clark Fork was divine! The people everywhere were so friendly. Oh and for this who have dogs, the dog park in Ponderay is simply refreshing as a place for a safe run! Not to mention in Sandpoint the Dog Park Beach - how amazing for a community to embrace the four legged family members!
We loved it all. thank you to Ginny for being so well informed and thorough on our arrival. thank you to Jack and J'nell for sharing your little oasis with our family! xoxoxo
