This house is amazing. The website does not display how truly exceptional this house is. The owners were terrific and my family enjoyed every minute of our vacation. Thank you again.

Gus' cabin exceeded our expectations! What a pleasure to sit on the back porch, take in the gorgeous scenery, and only hear the sounds of nature - with the exception of the train whistle, which was not that much of a distraction :-). The cabin was very clean and it provided all the comforts of home. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the outdoor furniture was perfect. After seeing many deer and turkeys and no people, we throughly enjoyed our time in the "wilderness". We walked down to the river (a nice bench is there to watch the river), hiked around the mountain, took many pictures of wildlife, and just relaxed on the porch. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

Our time spent at this cabin was a slice of heaven, a sorely needed respite from the daily grind, and everybit an opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in Bonner's Ferry. From the moment we contacted the owner, we felt welcomed. Arriving late at night, we were extremly pleased to see that the cabin more than exceeded our expectations. What a beautiful and serene place!!! The accomodations were well thought out, very comfortable and inviting. The opportunity to partake in wildlife viewing an unexpected surprise and the views breathtaking. We were able to reconnect with nature over the weekend in so many ways and won't soon forget our stay. The owner seems to have thought of all the possibilities visitors might encounter and has prepared a notebook with suggestions and recommendations for your Visit. Her Hospitatality was above and beyond measure and will not be soon forgotten. The owner has covered all the bases, although the lack of kayak, or raft to float the river was the only thing we'd missed, an experience we'd liked to have encountered during our stay. I imagine there's a significant liability for this and certainly wouldn't hold this against the owner or add this as a negative towards them in any way. My suggestion to the next renter is to bring your own floation device if possible. We truly wished we could have stayed longer, and hated to leave and now have dreams of owning a similar cabin. For the life of me, we can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to live there full time (except perhaps the lack of cell reception or internet), although I understand a cell tower is to be built perhaps this June, or July. Thanks Marilyn for sharing your cabin and accomodations with us. We hope to come back soon and would like to stay longer next time. Over best best and deepest gratitude for your hospitality.
