We spent three nights in the Snoppa rental. This basement apartment was clean, comfortable, private and convenient. The kitchen window faces the ocean. Edvard and Unnur helpfully explained what's available in town, and Edvard made arrangements for us to visit a farm in Olafsvik where our grandchildren could ride horses. The town is surrounded by green hills on which, from one spot, at least 15 waterfalls can be seen. Our son and his family returned from a charter fishing trip with fresh cod for supper, while we visited the strange and interesting shark museum in Bjarnarhofn. A coin-op laundry is available several blocks from the apartment, a public pool is nearby, and Internet access is available in the municipal library. We enjoyed our visit greatly, wished we could have stayed longer and hope to go back someday.
