Comfortable, well equipped house

5 of 5
We enjoyed staying in this spacious house. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds, the wifi was good for checking places to visit and for weather forecasts. We shopped locally and the kitchen was well-equipped for our cooking and eating. We visited interesting geological sites in the countryside, the excellent open-air pool at Laugardalslaug and the Fish Company restaurant which gave a meal to remember. Thank you very much.

Cozy

4 of 5
Much to like about this cottage. It was in a great location in Reykjavik - near shopping - center city - and points east and north. We had a rental car - and it was a little difficult to find at first and parking was difficult. The kitchen was a bit small with limited counter space, and the refrigerator had no freezer - so we had to use a freezer downstairs. The rest of the rooms were spacious. There was adequate storage and more than enough supplies - including some extra special things like mango dressing and some white fish. The owner was outstanding - helping us with where to go, what to see, and whatever we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved having the feel of actual Icelandic living instead of a hotel. Loved it! Thank you Rakel.

Magical

5 of 5
By far, this was one of the best places we've stayed at. There was nothing that could have been done to make the house more comfortable, welcoming, and pleasant. The beds, pillows, comforters, appliances, entertainment for all ages ............... including my 16, 12, and 5 year old children. The only down side was that we stayed for 6 nights.
