MAGICAL

5 of 5
By far, this was one of the best places we've stayed at. There was nothing that could have been done to make the house more comfortable, welcoming, and pleasant. The beds, pillows, comforters, appliances, entertainment for all ages ............... including my 16, 12, and 5 year old children. The only down side was that we stayed for 6 nights.

WONDERFUL APARTMENT IN REYKJAVIK

5 of 5
We had a wonderful, week long stay in this apartment and enjoyed every minute of it. Waking up to the beautiful sea view every morning was a rare treat, with volcanoes on the horizon and ever changing skies. The apartment was just as beautiful in real life as on the photos and perfect for our family of four. Inga and Hildur gave us a warm welcome and told our boys to go right ahead and use the trampoline and the hot tub in the garden. They also provided us with some good tips on places to eat in Reykjavik. Much appreciated. This beautiful 60's property is situated on a quiet residential street, yet perfectly placed for all the sight seeing you might want to do in the southern part of Iceland. The local swimming pool, Kopavogurlaug, within walking distance, was a huge hit with our children and came with indoor and outdoor pools, water slides included. Definitely something to experience, with or without children. The golden circle with Geysir and Thingvellir is within an hours drive, and even Dyrholaey to the southeast is only a two and a half hour drive away. We especially enjoyed a caving trip to Leidarendi with a guide from Offroad Iceland. They picked us up at the house, provided us with helmets, gloves and torches and took us into a lava tube. If you have room for a second pair of shoes, make them hiking boots. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives and hope to come back to visit again.
