Quite and peaceful!

4 of 5
We had an excellent stay and enjoyed the quiet. Perfect location for many trips in the surroundings, in particular, tours to Snaefellsnes. Rather small but very cosy. Everything you need is there.

Just wonderful!

5 of 5
Very often my wife, my son and me have been for holidays in rented houses or appartments in different countries. This cabin was the best we ever rented, not more, not less. Seated in a beautiful area in the South, cozy and beautiful, we really missed nothing . My son said, his bed in his bedroom was the most comfortable one he ever laid in. A highlight was lying in the hot pot on the patio in the evening after long walks - just relaxing and enjoying the silence and the landscape. Wonderful!

Beautiful Summer house in a perfect location.

5 of 5
We had a fantastic week at this lovely summer house not far from Selfoss. The cabin was excellent with a homely feel and good amenities. The setting is ideal in a quiet side road with great views from the large terrace at the front of the property. This looks out over the valley from which we could watch the local wildlife. Everything in the house was clean and tidy and as described in the details with comfy beds and sofas, plus an excellent kitchen. Sandra the owner was great, she answered all our questions leading up to our visit, and while we were there, she could not have been more helpful. The location is central to the main attractions in the South of Iceland, and only about 15 min drive from Selfoss with its shops and services, and the junction with Route 1, the main road around the island. There are excellent fish restaurants about 25 minutes away at Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri on the coast, which we would highly recommend. In fact we ate out most of the time and had good food wherever we went. The fish and local lamb were the highlights. I would recommend this cabin to anybody looking for a comfortable house central location. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit. Pete & Maggie Jackman
