A great place for a great holiday.

                  5 of 5
We are an Italian family with 2 boys (8 and 10) and loved the house! It has all the things you need for a very comfortable stay... Great open kitchen, wifi, speakers to attach mobile phone or laptop :-), TV, hot tub, easy park in front and plenty of space. All bedrooms are very big, very comfortable bathrooms and convenient washing machine/dryer. Great location - within 1 hour drive of plenty of attractions (Reykjavik, Geisir, Gullfoss, Blue lagoon, the coast ...) and less than 2 hrs from Skorgafoss, Vik and Vestmannaeyjar. The village offer a simple supermarket, a nice pool with hot tubs and a lovely gym, a nice expo on earthquake and tourist information point. Within 1 hour walk from Hveragerdi you can enjoy bathing in hot river - a not miss! There are also few restaurants in the village... But after trying one we preferred cooking at home (and enjoying the big open kitchen :-). The owners (Kristin and Ashamar) have been very kind and helpful. When our kids lost few little toys under the bathtub, they kindly came, unscrew few wooden planks and helped us to get access to the toys. A great place for a great holiday. Definitevely a 5 stars.

we stayed a week in the house late july and had a wonderfull time with many activities, The house is lovely and with a wonderfull light-as if you are in the nature, It has good outdoor facilities with a hot tub we used until late in the evening seeing the sun set with all its colours, the big grill we used for nearly all our meals and the deck partly roofed. The house is clean and well maintained. The hosts are very friendly and they worked hard to get the house ready for our stay.. We enjoyed the house and the sorroundings near the golden circle, we were fishing and riding on horses at solhestar-a very good and competent place-and visited rejkjavik-blue lagune and the beautiful nature nearby. Golfing was a hit to -near vatnajoukul We surely can recomend the house.

                  Wonderful House and perfect locations

                  5 of 5
Great place to explore southern Iceland, to enjoy the oldest 50 m swimming pool as well as the mud bath of the nearby clinic. We had a fantastic time here, being out the whole days and always looking forward to coming back in the evenings to find a very relaxing and charming place, which is also well equipped. We can only highly recommend this villa. The garden, the sound of the river (better than any music, except maybe the Icelandic folk songs ;-) ), was all very appealing to us. The welcome of the owners was very nice and helpful. We will come back (we belong to those coming regularly back to Iceland and to re-enjoy this wonderful country). A big thank you to Valdis and Halfsteinn. Franziska, Christoph and 3 children
