Beautiful cottage in a beautiful country!

5 of 5
The cottage was exactly what we were looking for on our vacation. Peaceful, limited interruptions and space from the neighbors as well as being close to everything we needed and wanted to see. Selfoss is a great little town to gather supplies and has several options for eating. The cottage's location was close enough to most of the sights we wanted to see while we were in Iceland, it was also close enough to go into Rekyavik easily. The cottage itself is perfect. It is designed and decorated to be very restful and we were easily at home there. It was also great to have our own hot tub to come home to in the evenings after a long day. Inga and her husband were always available when needed and were able to offer great recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. One suggestion that they gave us was Fjorubordid in Stokkeryri, the food was phenomenal and it is just a short drive from the cottage. We will definitely stay at this cottage again on our next trip to Iceland. We think about it frequently and wish we were there.

Cozy

4 of 5
Much to like about this cottage. It was in a great location in Reykjavik - near shopping - center city - and points east and north. We had a rental car - and it was a little difficult to find at first and parking was difficult. The kitchen was a bit small with limited counter space, and the refrigerator had no freezer - so we had to use a freezer downstairs. The rest of the rooms were spacious. There was adequate storage and more than enough supplies - including some extra special things like mango dressing and some white fish. The owner was outstanding - helping us with where to go, what to see, and whatever we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved having the feel of actual Icelandic living instead of a hotel. Loved it! Thank you Rakel.
