Great house. Close to thingvellir ntl park.

4 of 5
The house is great. It was so cozy with the wood burning stove and so many windows. Also nice that the 2 bedrooms are the same. 2 of is stayed there (friends) and no one had to have the kid's room or a lesser room. Perfect. Einar and Ingvar were nice and helpful. Perfect location for snorkeling in thingvellir. Saw the northern lights while in the hot tub! We were only the 3rd people to stay here and there were a few glitches, but nothing serious, some of them fixed during our stay. I think it will be 5 stars quite soon. Would absolutely book this house again and recommend it. Very clean, very nice feeling. Easy to get groceries in selfoss.

Quite and peaceful!

We had an excellent stay and enjoyed the quiet. Perfect location for many trips in the surroundings, in particular, tours to Snaefellsnes. Rather small but very cosy. Everything you need is there.

Beautiful Summer house in a perfect location.

5 of 5
We had a fantastic week at this lovely summer house not far from Selfoss. The cabin was excellent with a homely feel and good amenities. The setting is ideal in a quiet side road with great views from the large terrace at the front of the property. This looks out over the valley from which we could watch the local wildlife. Everything in the house was clean and tidy and as described in the details with comfy beds and sofas, plus an excellent kitchen. Sandra the owner was great, she answered all our questions leading up to our visit, and while we were there, she could not have been more helpful. The location is central to the main attractions in the South of Iceland, and only about 15 min drive from Selfoss with its shops and services, and the junction with Route 1, the main road around the island. There are excellent fish restaurants about 25 minutes away at Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri on the coast, which we would highly recommend. In fact we ate out most of the time and had good food wherever we went. The fish and local lamb were the highlights. I would recommend this cabin to anybody looking for a comfortable house central location. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit. Pete & Maggie Jackman
