                  a so nice house

                  5 of 5
The house was perfect for our family with 2 children (4 and 7), really clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed the terrasse, the hot pot, the modernity of the house itself, really well equipped and with a washing machine always usefull when you travel. The location is really near the Geysir, Godafoss and Hveragerdi which gives the possibility to go there during the day and enjoy the house and the hot pot in the evening. We recommand as well the swimming pool in Selfoss. Finally you are really welcomed there. So we really recommand the house.

Unique location to start your Icelandic discovery

                  5 of 5
Having traveled for several years [with and without child(ren)] we can only endorse all the positive comments made already here. During our 2nd stay in Iceland, we were happy to call Helluskogur our "Icelandic home" for 2 weeks. Not only its unique location (with a waterfall and the impressive Langá so near), but also the home decor was simply overwhelming. The house has an open character and is built smart so that landscape, weather and light can be enjoyed day and night. Inside, all equipment is of very high quality and nicely organized, including some great toys for the kids, art and literature. From here, even with young children who don't allow to make long distance trips, you can discover West-Iceland's nicest natural beauties and at the same time remain connected with the city of Reykjavik. A beautiful map of Iceland on one of the inner-walls inside allows to start dreaming about great trips one can make in Iceland. But this house is definitely one of the best places to start an IS-discovery. Rob and Heidi, you have been amazing hosts for us. Thanks so much for your hospitality and good luck with all your activities. Kindest regards from Anna-Julia, Myrthe, Kristin & Dirk (Brussels - BE)

                  Beautiful country house (with ponies!)

                  5 of 5
Our family of eleven stayed for a week in this very well appointed smart house. It is ell located to explore the sites of south west Iceland. About an hour and a half from Reykjavik and a little less to the 'golden circle' sites. To the south east you can easily reach Vik, stopping at Skogafoss and Solheimajokull glacier. Our favourite trips were in land to Landmannalauger (make sure you have a 4x4) and the ferry to the Vestmannaeyjar islands where we enjoyed a ruinously expensive Ribsafari boat ride! We would all recommend Iceland to our friends and the location of Soffia's house is ideal.
