Stykkisholmur Paradise

5 of 5
This beautiful home in Stykkisholmur was a wonderful place for our Iceland get away. The location was perfect with a view of the fjord, in a quiet neighborhood and was convenient for our tour around Snaefellsnes Pennisula. The house was spotless and exceedingly well cared for. There are personal touches throughout that make it feel like home. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with whatever dishes that might be needed. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return someday soon!

Quite and peaceful!

4 of 5
We had an excellent stay and enjoyed the quiet. Perfect location for many trips in the surroundings, in particular, tours to Snaefellsnes. Rather small but very cosy. Everything you need is there.

Cozy and comfortable cottage!

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay and home base of Hellnar. The cottage was as described. Very comfortable and accommodating for our family of four. The mattresses are excellent. The kitchen is well equipped and stocked with basics like olive oil, salt, pepper some spices, coffee, sugar etc. This makes cooking so much easier! The only caution I would give is that the stairs to the second floor a cross between a ladder and stairs. Not a problem for us but if you have mobility issues or toddlers, it might be hard to get to the second level where the bedrooms are. There are a lot of things to do near Hellnar, so it is a good base to see the peninsula. There is also a very helpful information office just next door. You can learn quite a bit about the area there as well as get maps for hikes.
