Low key week

5 of 5
This clean, well equipped apartment was perfect for our low key week on the North Shore. Waimea beach is a quarter mile walk away and is a lovely, clean, life guarded beach across the street from the Waimea Valley Botanical Gardens (a must and there's a farmers market there on Thursdays). Three Tables beach is an even shorter distance, good for snorkeling, and was perfect for sunset swims or before breakfast. Near to the grocery, coffee shop, shave ice stand, and excellent food truck called "The Galley". The apartment has an outdoor shower, bikes, etc. The owner is very easy to make arrangements with and was responsive and warm, but gave us our privacy too! We recommend this place if you want a sweet private spot. P.s. We chose to rent an economy car and the drive from the airport was 50 minutes. Then we had it to explore the east side of the island, too. Well worth it.

Multi-generation Vacation

4 of 5
Our family of 10 included 2 grandparents, 4 adults, and 4 kids (7-11). This house had plenty of space for everyone! The kids loved the pool and found a wide variety of pool toys available. There were plenty of towels, both bathroom and beach. It was nice to have 2 washers and 2 dryers. There is a beach just a couple of blocks down from the house. We also did some snorkeling at Sharks Cove. It was also very convenient to the Waimea Valley Gardens. Beach parking on the weekends especially make the drive from Haleiwa a slow drive, so plan ahead. Foodland in Waimea had plenty of food choices. Our flight home didn’t leave until 9pm and Steve allowed us to have extra time on Sunday in the house.

Excellent

5 of 5
The pictures of the house looked really nice, but it was even more amazing actually being in there.  That was one of the best trips we have ever been on. We recommend renting the bikes from BJ and Andy as well, much cheaper than anywhere else on the North Shore.  The bike path along that ocean was a lot of fun. Traveling with a baby, this was definitely the way to go over a hotel; much more room, better ocean views and was very nice having a fold up crib and high chair seat already at the house. Don't forget your camera if your planning on staying here!
