Multi-generation Vacation

4 of 5
Our family of 10 included 2 grandparents, 4 adults, and 4 kids (7-11). This house had plenty of space for everyone! The kids loved the pool and found a wide variety of pool toys available. There were plenty of towels, both bathroom and beach. It was nice to have 2 washers and 2 dryers. There is a beach just a couple of blocks down from the house. We also did some snorkeling at Sharks Cove. It was also very convenient to the Waimea Valley Gardens. Beach parking on the weekends especially make the drive from Haleiwa a slow drive, so plan ahead. Foodland in Waimea had plenty of food choices. Our flight home didn’t leave until 9pm and Steve allowed us to have extra time on Sunday in the house.

YES - we'd stay again!

5 of 5
The property is within a half mile of Waimea Bay beach and with the parking there, really-an easy walk there. Convenient to North Shore activities and events. We were half a block off the Kamehameha Highway, so easy access all around. Donna, the on-site manager, was so accomodating and provided not only for our needs, but directions and information to help us enjoy the area even more. We mainlanders were thinking in terms of air conditioning, but found that the fans did a good job of keeping everything comfortable. The master bath tub was a huge tiled basin = heavenly soaks. We did hear the road the first day/night, but then didn't. This was definitely a do-again experience.

2nd. time better than the first

5 of 5
2 Adults & 2 Teens made this great value rental our home for the 2nd. time. We love the North Shore. It is so laid back compared to Honolulu. Our kids are big fans of LOST, we visited the beach set for LOST, along with the "OTHERS" camp, which are all nearby. My wife and daughter even ran into John Locke (Terry ODonell) at the local Starbucks one morning. There are so many beaches to choose from on the North Shore, some almost deserted. The rental was perfect for us. everything that you would expect to be supplied is there and even some extras, such as coffee beans from John's coffe shop in Haleiwa. We went on many day trips, and took in many of the sights and activities available on the Island. We had to make daily visits for shaved ice in Haleiwa! Can't wait till our next visit to Oahu!
