The perfect getaway :)

5 of 5
Straight out of the Rainbow Tower at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki, where we started our Hawaiian Honeymoon, we moved into the very spacious and perfectly set up Orchid-Suite just across the quiet street from the most beautiful and uncrowded beach on O'ahu. And we wished we'd just skipped the Hilton and stayed with Tamy & Rick the whole time we've been on the island. The property is set up absolutely gorgeous, a tropical garden with all kinds of exotic flowers, trees and plants, a well with fish and an outdoor shower. Sun umbrellas, beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, kayaks - everything was provided and made our lazy and relaxing beach days just perfect. Imagine - turquoise waters, azure sky, gentle waves (and if you're lucky you can sponge on 3ft'ers, too - we were :)), rabbit island on the horizon - and you share the 300 yards left and right of you with a handful of other people, which was absolutely amazing and relaxing! When we felt adventurous, we'd take the rental for a spin. For us this was the ideal location to explore the whole island - Honolulu Downtown: a 30 minutes drive, North Shore (Hale'iwa): 90 mins, the west coast (Makaha / Yokohama beach): 90 mins. Tamy and Rick also offer sailing turns to the Kaneohe Sandbank, which we enjoyed very much. If you're doing OK in small planes - ask Rick about an hour in his glider - truly unforgettable moments, seeing the island from above (we went up to over 4000 ft!). Tamy, Rick, thank you so much for making our honeymoon a truly unforgettable experience!

Amazing,

Stayed for 7 days, (too short). We can't wait to return. We toured the island, but we where always drawn back to the view, peace and tranquility found at Makapuu Hale. Which by the way has wonder host! Booking, arriving and staying. Was flawless!

First-timers from Denver

This is truly a well appointed and well cared for property. My husband and I have stayed in many B & B's over the years, but will check out these places to stay from now on because of Skye's wonderful cottage. This is a total immersion into the life of a beach community. Skye was available if needed but did not hover and had good suggestions about activities both close to Wiamanalo and far. We would rent from her again and definitely recommend her property to others! Aloha to all who read this and a huge thank you to Skye for a job well done! From Tom and Merry, Wayne and Cynthia from Denver.
