Beautiful, clean, modern, ground floor unit fully equipped for a great stay. The lanai has a great view and is a very relaxing place for a drink or a meal. Close (5mins) walk to Kings and Queens shops, 10-15 to the beach or the Lava Lava Beach Club - likely the best place for a sunset drink on earth. Be warned it tends to lend itself to many drinks, dinner, etc! The condo was immaculate. Towels, coolers, umbrella, chairs, etc for a day at the beach, and everything you could imagine in the kitchen. Nice appliances in good repair. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained impeccably; the gym, pool, hot tub, and grill area are up to the same standard. It's nice to be on the petroglyphs trail for a walk or morning trail run. We really enjoyed this place, and were happily suprised by how nice and stocked it was. Great and very quiet location as well. 5 stars all around.

This was our second visit to Hali'i Kai, but first time staying in one of Peggy's units. I have to say that we are hooked and spoiled by all of the extras that Peggy includes. It's gratifying that responses to any question are quickly forthcoming. It is obvious that Peggy cares that her renters have a positive experience. Everything you will need is provided in the kitchen including food wraps, baggies, plastic storage containers, cleaning products, paper towels and napkins. Laundry detergent is supplied. There are two housecoats. There are enough toiletries to last a few days. There are lots of pillows to choose from. The mattress in the master bedroom is very comfortable (and I'm fussy on bed comfort). All ceiling fans and the air conditioner work well and are quiet. Our favourite restaurants are Tommy Bahama at Mauna Lani, and Lavalava Beach Bar. Both have great happy hours as well. For grocery deals go to Costco or Target. I also recommend the Waikoloa Village Market (not in the Waikoloa Beach resort area, as confusing as that is). If you can swing it, take the 2-hour Blue Hawaiian helicopter circle island tour. Expensive, but you get the panoramic perspective that can only be seen from the air. I also highly recommend the manta ray night dive or snorkel. I dived with Big Island Divers at the airport site. This experience was mind-blowing! We have already booked with Peggy for a return visit in March. We appreciate her high standards and attention to detail.

Mike & Kathy, Thanks for the beautiful vacation villa! The view of the ocean contrasted by the black lava and the magnificent green golf course is unmatched. The villa is appointed beautifully not to mention the 3 LCD flat screen televisions! We also made full use of the private Ocean Club which was a very short walk with its open air exercise room and beautiful swimming pool and hot tub with river rock floor. You must try the Mango Mai Tai at the bar, ask Craig to make you one, and the Kalua Pig Wrap at the grill, it was simply delicious. It is a short drive to Waimea, Hawi and the Kona airport and has the convenience of the King’s Shops and soon to open Queen’s Shops. Lastly we love the beaches nearby, the Hapuna State Beach park and Mauna Kea Beach hotel beach. We are definitely going to stay here again! David & Anita
