Perfect for our family reunion/ Thanksgiving vacation

5 of 5
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was perfect for the 9 of us (3 kids 6 adults). It was my parents in their 60's, my brother and his two daughters (7,5) and my family including a 2 year old. We all had a different idea of what we wanted out of a house and this made us all happy! All the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were very soft. The comforters were updated since the photos and were taken and were very comfortable and soft. The house insulated noise very well. Some of the kids and adults got up early and others wanted to sleep in. Due to the sound of the ocean and design of the house you didn't here a thing from your room. The kitchen had every appliance you would need as well as spices and other cooking essentials left from other tenants which came in handy for our Thanksgiving dinner. The porch was great and had two tables and many chairs. We ate almost every meal out there. The beach was pretty but had quite an undertow and coral. This made it so we could play on the the beach and in the surf, but it wasn't the best place to swim. We saw sea turtles there almost every morning and evening though. A great place to swim and surf is on Army Road, just a mile or so away. It's a military recreational center but anyone can go there with an id (drivers license). There is not a lot to eat in the area, but we shopped at the Safeway about half an hour away on our way up and didn't eat out. It was in a more local area and there was a "tent city" type thing near by, but never felt uncomfortable by any of the people we came into contact with. Although it was in the northern west side, it still wasn't a long drive back to Honolulu or Pearl City to do some site seeing.
