Great memories at a great vacation home!

5 of 5
We created some amazing family memories at this A+ North Shore home. Our 6 grandkids (ages 4 to 11) played for hours in the pool. The 7 adults enjoyed the Tiki bar-- we recorded the World Series for late night viewing. Being right on the beach with easy access from the home gave us multiple opportunities for body surfing, boogie boarding, paddle boarding and strolls along the beach to see the sea turtles. With two yards, we had plenty of space for our family soccer games and activities. The home has multiple living areas and we used all of them...two kitchens, multiple large tables in various spaces for meals and games, open doors to the pool and patio areas, and quiet spaces for reading or down time. The kids claimed the huge tv room as their own for hanging out and sleeping. The adults enjoyed the sounds of the ocean from the bedrooms which had very comfortable beds. We appreciated all the bath and beach towels and still made good use of the washer and dryer. We rented a few of the available beach "toys"...boogie boards, paddle boards, snorkel equipment and had fun with those on "our" beach as well as nearby Waimea Bay Beach and "Sharks Cove." We took the short drives to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Waimea Valley and the Dole Plantation and also enjoyed the food trucks and M. Matsumoto shave ice in Haleiwa. It was also an easy drive to Diamond Head, Honolulu and Waikiki. With all the Oahu and North Shore attractions available, we actually did spend most of our time at our wonderful beach home and would love to have stayed even longer than a week. Finally, we were especially happy with the our local contact, John, who was very helpful and responsive to our questions and requests. We felt "at home" in this North Shore home and would happily recommend it for its location, layout, and amenities.

Great locaton on North Shore, friendly owners

5 of 5
We enjoyed our stay on the North Shore. Picked this location as it was reasonably central to everything. The condo was immaculately clean and worked well for our family of 5, even the futon was comfortable ( much better than a sofabed). Doug and Elaine made us feel very welcome. Appreciated having a few bits and pieces in the fridge and cupboards - made self-catering so much easier. Great spot to bbq on the back deck.

Wonderful Place, Wonderful Renter!

5 of 5
WOW! We (my husband and I) had such a wonderful time in HI - and a huge part of it was this perfect condo. We arrived late so we didn't get a chance to look around much outside but inside everything is as pictured! We thoroughly enjoyed our first sunrise on the deck over looking those cute, colorful, little homes and the ocean! You really can see it from your deck... and, much to our surprise when we opened the door out to the parking lot, we had an incredible view of the highest point in Oahu! Most of our time was spent outside snorkeling, hiking, and exploring but, we did experience the hurricane during our stay and it was so nice to have a great place to bunker down in. The kitchen was excellent - we did most of our cooking at the condo apart from some breakfasts out at the Coffee Gallery (which we highly recommend). The bed was very comfortable, the sea breeze was lovely, and an added bonus for us was that if you use the elevator key you can access the open area on the roof to watch the sunset - don't miss out, it is incredible! Everything was sufficiently clean, and we really did not struggle with bugs as I hear some do in HI. Be careful with your food and you should not have any issues apart from the stray sugar ant (they really can't be avoided in HI). The local shops in Haleiwa and the Old Sugar Mill were a lot of fun to explore as well as the farmer's markets (there is one at the Sugar Mill on Saturdays and one in Waimea on Thursdays). We also enjoyed swimming at Aweoweo beach which is in walking distance! The location was perfect in our opinion as we wanted to be away from the busyness of the cities and just relax. While out of the busyness of cities we were still only an hour drive from almost anywhere on the island. We highly recommend driving the east coast, hiking Koko Head, Diamond Head, Manoa Falls, and snorkeling at Haunama Bay, Three tables (if the waves are not bad), and Sharks Cove. Also, the Pearl Harbor memorials were just incredible to see. On top of this wonderful property, I have nothing but praise for Karen! She is excellent to work with. We had some plane/weather troubles that caused a lot of interruptions with our original reservation and she was so willing to help and work with us, despite our plans being up in the air for a while. We had to call her multiple times and she was always courteous and helpful - thank you Karen! We highly recommend this property to anyone!
