Nice ocean view condo for 2-3 people

4 of 5
We stayed there in August, when hot weather and high humidity can be a real problem for some people because the entire building is not designed for an air conditioning. This is actually a one bedroom unit with 2 full baths. The sliding Shoji panels in a leaving room make a privacy screen and so-called "second" ocean view room. This condo can fit 6 persons but it will be beyond what is comfortable. It would be perfect for 2-3 people. The condo is well equipped, the kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own food. Very good kitchen appliances and Keurig coffeemaker. The charcoal BBQ grill is outside on the ground, just a few yards from the ocean. There are two other high end Weber BBQ grills but you need to figure out where to get gas tanks for them. Ocean was warmer here than on Turtle beach and Waimea Bay (maybe because of currents). The owner of this condo was very nice and helpful. All my emails and questions were answered quickly. This definitely could be a 5 star place but I took off 1/2 for lack of A/C and 1/2 for the size of this condo.

Great condo for our family of 4

5 of 5
We had fantastic vacation. This was the first vacation trip for our 2 kids in Hawaii and this condo gave them such a GREAT impression. We walked in the room and the big ocean view was right in front of us. We loved the location of the condo, on the 4th floor at the end of the building and the condo next door was vacant when we were there. We felt like we had the whole place for ourselves for full 7 days. The condo has two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a futon in the sitting room which perfect for all 4 of us. The condo was in perfect condition, nice and clean. Only problem we had, it could get hot in the bathrooms so I put fans in there to solve the problem. Waialua is a small town that still maintains Hawaii spirit. The lady came and sat with me at the park with her dog and we just talked. She made me felt so welcome. Oh! I made my car reservation through Costco website and Alamo didn't charge me extra to add a driver. I would recommend this condo to anyone who want to be away from tourist attractions and fully enjoy the real Hawaii with local. Mary, thank you so much for sharing your place with our family. We really appreciated that.

Cute North Shore Condo

5 of 5
This north shore retreat was literally a block away from the ocean including a beach park that was less than a five minute walk from the condo. Most mornings, my wife and I sat out on the deck (on the fourth floor) to eat breakfast and watch the ocean. The condo is as described and pictured, including a washer and dryer, and tv with dvd player and wii. And even better, there were boogie boards and a snorkel set in the closet. I would recommend having a car. We managed to check out most of the major north shore sites and beach spots, and the condo acted as a nice home base. The turtle beach was roughly 15 minutes away, and Waialua, (~10 minutes) had some great shrimp trucks (Mack's was our preference). And we ended up going to the Sugar Mill (~5 minutes) every morning for iced coffee and back in the afternoons for real fruit shaved ice. Karen was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. She was even quick to respond and quickly resolve an issue that arose. If we were looking to escape to a quiet north shore retreat again, we'd pick this condo because of it's accessibility, ease, and affordability.
