Wonderful relaxing Vacation at a Wonderful Home

5 of 5
This was a dream vacation for all seven of us. We made our reservations in February and our stay was in September. Our first interactions with this very modern, and clean property made us feel very much at home the minute we drove onto the property in Oahu. John was waiting to greet us with a big Hawaiian welcome, smile and handshake. Immediately nicknamed Surfer John in an affectionate way by our family! He was ready to meet any of our needs in person and by telephone. He showed us the property with pride of ownership and a commitment to us and his employer. John told us the normal maintenance guys would be on the premise and they came and went without disturbing us to keep the property bug free and the pool serviced. Our family came from Maryland, Oregon and Northern California for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. This property is nicely furnished, spacious and will easily accommodate ten to twelve. It is modern, clean and stocked with everything you need. It was recommended by our Travel Agent to shop Costco for food on our way in and we did eat most of our meals on the property. Our daughters were designated drivers and they and their loved ones did all the barbecuing, cooking and cleaning throughout the week. You never needed to leave the property accept for Pearl Harbor, Paradise Cove Luau, and the Dole Plantation and of course shaved ice. We treated this property with pride of ownership, and felt like kings and princesses with two kitchens which included modern dishes, appliances and a new clean outdoor barbecue. What a special way to celebrate our anniversary, a dream come true since we are all hardworking blue collar workers including three in law enforcement. My husband and I took the Master bedroom and had the best early morning and late night views from our balcony and then would sit facing the ocean watching for turtles, and enjoying our family members. That first cup of coffee in the morning before dawn was wonderful as the palms became visible and the birds started singing. What a wonderful view from the second floor balcony. Our family was snorkeling and/or in the pool at least two or three times every day. The Gazebo, Tiki Bar, living room and TV room allowed all types of sports games to be going for everyone’s favorite team. The daily walks up and down the stairs and around the property and beach were very relaxing and good for us. The staircase was built with handrails to accommodate little ones as well as adults. Hawaiian-Style Peace and Quiet

5 of 5
We are former Hawaii residents and visit the Islands regularly. Preferring to stay in condos or cottages, this is one unit that definitely meets our desires. Peace and quiet is the greatest attribute for this property. Located off the beaten path, on the beach in Waialua, the beauty and quiet is perfect for unwinding and relaxing. Sleeping in and then waking to the sound of the ocean waves and chirping birds will bring a smile to your face. The unit itself is well-equipped with all of the owner-listed amenities. The grounds, like the unit itself, is maintained nicely. The outdoor hot shower and toilet are a nice touch, especially after time on the beach out back or swimming. Access to the beach is through a gate in the backyard. The beach is very nice...perfect for a nice walk by the water, swimming, or snorkeling. Of course, caution must be used if the surf is high. Sunsets are easily and wondrously viewed while lounging on lawn chairs at the end of the day. Local activities we did include snorkeling (on site and also at Shark's Cove), hiking, stand-up paddle boarding (Surf and Sea), and a biplane ride from nearby Dillingham airfield. Haleiwa town is fun with various other activities. The farmers market on Saturday in Waialua is awesome. Finally, the review would not be complete without acknowledgement of our on-site hosts who were very gracious and a pleasure to visit with. Aloha, until our next visit. Kevin

Wish we had more time at the house

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: other than having to haggle for the 4th bedroom we already paid for AND them charging us ANOTHER $100 to get the access code to the 4th bedroom (again that we already paid for and she acted as if she was doing me a favor by ONLY charging me another $100). the house was nice. I loved sleeping with the doors open and listening to the waves every night Manager responded on 9/9/2014: These guests had not paid for the additional studio when they initially booked, they had reserved the main house only. This was confirmed through emails and the booking agreement. When they decided to add the studio we were happy to open it up for them at the additional nightly rate. We would certainly never double charge a guest, and assume no guest would agree to such a charge. We are sorry that they remain confused about the situation, but are very happy that they enjoyed the house.
