felt right at home

5 of 5
Two from Texas, two from Japan--we met in Hawaii to spend some family time. Loved the location, the hosts, the home away from home. The place was pretty, charming, nice (but not so la ti da over the top that we felt ill at ease). It was a place that met our needs and made us want to live there for much longer. I was afraid of being without an AC--I'm always hot--but I was only truly hot one time when I stayed "at home" during the day. Nights, with the windows open and the fans, were comfortable. Two of the gals felt chilly, even. The hosts, who live next door in the duplex, are very quiet, pleasant but not intrusive, and easy to contact if needed. You are away from the hubbub, but close enough to anything you might want--stores, restaurants, etc. I saw complaints on a site about bugs (saw a few, no big deal, it's the tropics, we see them in Texas too), dirt (sand comes in on your body, wind blows it in, can't be helped--was not that the place was dirty), beds (at first I thought bed was going to be uncomfortable, but I adjusted and slept nicely)....I would stay here again. This abode, the surrounding towns and beaches, the North Shore--love at first sight. First time I can remember ditching my watch and feeling at peace.

Amazing family vacation!!

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was more than we expected! Very clean, modern and quiet. The outside space was perfect for relaxing and watching your kids swim in the ocean. We would definitely recommend this house and plan to go back! Manager responded on 11/5/2014: Aloha Nadine, We too agree that Beach Oasis is an amazing location and perfect for families! This part of the North Shore is very child friendly and is perfect for beach access. We look forward to hosting you in the future! Mahalo, Hawaii Beach Homes

North Shore Vacation

5 of 5
Our family had talked about a vacation to Hawaii for years. We spent months coordinating schedules and researching houses to make our dream vacation a reality. We knew we had found the perfect house and when we (7 adults and a baby) arrived we were not disappointed. The house is crazy big, charming and has a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and the grounds are well kept and beautifully lush. John was there to greet us upon arrival and gladly helped us with any questions and needs that we had. And he was always just a phone call away. Thank you John! The views of the ocean and mountains are magnificent. Walking the beach, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming in the pool, there was plenty to do without ever leaving the property. We watched the sunrise every day, saw a double rainbow, and were graced with a visit from a sea turtle on the beach. The little town of Haleiwa is just a short drive down the road and provides many choices for shaved ice, souvenirs, restaurants, surf shops, and art galleries. There is also a small grocery store and post office. The Paalaa Kai Bakery in Waialua was a special treat too. Making the rental arrangements was easy, our inquiries were responded to quickly, and the security deposit was returned almost immediately. Thank you Peter! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to returning in the future. Maholo!
