A fantastic place to enjoy Maui from

5 of 5
We arrived at the house late at night after a long trip and were thrilled with what awaited us. The outdoor lights had been left on for our arrival, and a welcome note and welcome pack helped us ensure the first night we were comfortable until we had a chance to go shopping. The property is located in a quiet residential area and it was incredibly peaceful. As advertised, the owners pretty much provide every outdoors "toy" you could require, from beach chairs, cooler boxes, surf and paddle boards - my husband was in his element and it saved us lots of money not having to hire anything during our stay. The property itself is lovely and very different from any of the other properties on the island. Having your own patio, BBQ and hot tub was a real bonus. The air conditioning was a very welcome benefit. Whilst people have commented that it is close to the owners house, we never felt as though we didn't have any privacy and Stewart and Andrea were both friendly and helpful but also respectful of our privacy at all times. We certainly never heard them coming or going in any way which would be a disturbance. They were also very knowledgeable about the island; pointing us in the right direction for good surf and giving us a few hints for our days out. You definitely need a car both on the island and at this property, but the house is just a short drive from some small surfing beaches, and the main road through Kihei. All in all we had a fantastic time and were sad to have to move on. If we ever returned to Maui, this is where we'd stay. Thank you Stewart and Andrea, it was a long trip from the UK, but we were definitely not disappointed.

All True!

5 of 5
My husband, 25-yr old daughter and I stayed for 5 days and loved it there. I just re-read the description of the cottage and it is completely accurate. Everything I was going to say is already there. So colorful, comfortable, carefully maintained! Every little detail from the lovely (old?) photos of hula dancers in the bedroom to the interesting turquoise pottery dishes and glassware in the kitchen feels chosen with care. I feared it might be funky and was both relieved and delighted to find it spotless and lovely. As for Waimanalu itself: again, great description: "Old Hawaii". Rural, small and a community of permanent residents -- not just tourists. The beach is your tropical fantasy PLUS really safe and easy. We are water wimps and felt at ease there. We ate well at Sweet Home, Hawaii Time Cafe, Sergs and Keneke's. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Oahu!

Top Notch Rental experience.

5 of 5
Could not have been more pleased with our rental accommodations. Excellent value for the dollar.Well stocked and charming cottage. Lacking nothing. Great location. Immaculately clean. Jennifer and Jeff were great hosts. Attentive when you might have a question; but respected your privacy. Our best lodging experience while visiting the Islands...........
