We enjoyed our stay in the "little pink house in the jungle". The house is comfortably furnished for a couple and has a homey feel to it. The surrounding grounds are lovely, with a variety of palms and ti plants, banana, lime and decorative bamboo, set against the ohia and hala forest. This house is in a family-friendly neighborhood with nice folks usually greeting you with a wave and a smile..
It's a comfortable drive into Pahoa, Ke'eau and Hilo. For fun at the beach, the tidal pools of Kapoho, the hot ponds and the black sand beach at Kehena are all easily accessed from here. The nearby towns offer a wide and tasty range of local and ethnic fare. The farmers markets are a fun way to shop for some of the best local produce on the planet and also offer unique arts and local crafts. If you choose to explore the wonders of East Hawai'i, this little home in the jungles of Puna is a great place to do it from.
