exceptional !!!

I don't use VRBO too often because it protects the owners but not the renters. I have my own way of weeding out unrealistic, outright neurotic and arrogant owners and it has been always good. This one was exceptional. Most houses don't really resemble the photos for some odd reason. This one was better than the photos. We stayed from May 1 thru 17th and the owner and the manager were full of INTEGRITY, rare trait among people who are in it for the money. These people were in it to truly make your life easier and happier. Also, I left my laundry in the dryer one day and the manager had ironed my blouse !!! The house was clean, simply and artistically decorated. I like the clean look of the marble tops. I am so glad I didn't book anything in Haiku because it is simply too far from anything. We were close to town and Mama's fish house (although we stopped going there because they have over cooked our fish numerous times even when we beg them not to). It was very quiet, perfect for meditation/prayer. My favorite view was the bamboo trees !!!!!!!!!!!! The manager responds at the speed of light (no kidding !)

Absolutely fabulous

My adult children, their significant others, my S.O. and I spent a wonderful week at the thoughtfully designed Paia Beach House. It's just as described -- clean and well maintained, three bedrooms with very comfortable beds and high quality linens, a spacious great room with a well-appointed kitchen (even the knives were sharp), tasteful art from the Paia Contemporary Art Gallery, lots of stuff for the beach (boogie, surf, and sail boards, beach chairs, snorkels, face masks, fins, etc.), and outdoor showers. It really could not have been any better. Although the house faces the beach, it is right off the main drag going through Paia so it's an easy walk to everything in town. We especially loved Mana Foods (if you can't find it there, you don't need it) and Ono Gelato. Francisco was gracious and a pleasure to work with as well. The only advice I have for future guests is if you rent two cars, insist that one be an economy or compact size (no larger than a Ford Focus) because otherwise parking can be quite challenging. We look forward to returning!
