Great find.

5 of 5
Our stay at Maui Winds was terrific. My friend and I were in town to participate in the Cycle to the Sun bike race, and we both really enjoyed our time at this beautiful rental home. Upscale, fully equipped, spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable, great deck space as well as a fabulous roof top deck, a short stroll to the beach and Mama's Fish house, and 5 minutes away from Hookipa and Paia town center. Rental process was smooth and efficient. Hope to return next year with my family.

Very nice stay

5 of 5
I stayed there with a 12 year old girl for 4 nights. We enjoyed the size of the condo with a separate bedroom and a comfy convertible bed in the living room. It's quiet - the noise from the street other guests complain about didnt bother us at all during the night and I am having a light sleep. Great location 5 minutes walk away from the cove at Mama's Fish House (go there if you can afford it - excellent food and view - book a table days ahead!) and 5 minutes drive from Paia. Well equipped kitchen and bath with nice beach towels. Josh is very friendly too and helped us immediately, when we at first couldn't find the WiFi-password. The Lanai is with a nice view and we enjoyed the parrot, that visited us around 6 pm every day. The only thing we had some issues was the toilet - just flash long enough, then you are good... Nice starting point for the sunrise and road to Hana. We also liked Baldwin Beach and relaxing at the nearby beach very much. There is a small coffee shop right around the corner (at the street). Our friends stayed in a very tiny condo close by which was on the groundfloor with some visits of big spiders and no view for the same price. I fully recommend to book this condo here - the pictures don't give a nice enough impression, the condo itself is lovely. Go for it!

My top choice of places to stay on Maui

5 of 5
Every time I travel to Paia going forward, I would love to stay at this cottage in Paia. It is perfectly sized for two, and could certainly hold four comfortably. The downstairs living area afforded us everything we could need – a great living area complete with desk and wifi, a charming and well-stocked kitchen where we prepared many meals and could easily store all our groceries, great closet space, a clean and well-appointed bathroom, an idyllic outdoor shower, and a washer and dryer. The upstairs bedroom is spacious and had a great sitting area which gave the living area a run for its money in terms of where we wanted to spend our reading time. The whole house had many windows which created steady circulation, the perfect way to stay cool in gorgeous Maui impeding on the ambiance with the buzz of an A/C unit. For outdoor activities, Paia is hard to beat. The cottage was stocked with kayaks and paddleboards, of which we were able to take advantage at the nearby beach. The location of the house also afforded us the ability to walk to the beach and anywhere in Paia town, and to make a short hop over to Kahului where we took kiteboarding lessons with highly-skilled, patient and motivating instructors. One of our favorite adventures was our bike ride: we rented bikes from Maui Cyclery and cycled from our front door around the bottom of the West Maui Mountains to Lahaina and back; the ride was gorgeous and I felt safe the entire time. Most importantly, Karen, the owner, is highly responsive and extremely easy with whom to work. She clearly cares about her guests, and made sure we were taken care of while we were there. I would have loved to meet her in person but unfortunately our time in Paia did not overlap with her and her family’s time there. Without a doubt, this is the place I would choose to stay any time I am in Paia. If you are into the active, outdoor lifestyle, or if you want to lounge around on the beach, this is the place for you. Thank you, Karen, for being a fantastic, thoughtful host. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
