Perfection in Ko Olina!

5 of 5
Wow Wow Wow! - Newly furnished & outfitted unit and it shows! All new everything! Looks like a Pottery Barn catalog. The unit is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and so so comfortable! Better than the pictures - they don't show all the 'little' things the owners have thought of like night lights in all the rooms, coffee waiting for you when you arrive, spices in the pantry, cleaning supplies, paper goods, shampoo & conditioner included and Every kitchen gadget imaginable (even a fancy waffle iron that my teen grandson loved!). Best features: Golf Cart!!!! Gourmet Kitchen Downstairs king bedroom and bath for those of us that no longer like stairs! Upstairs master w/ensuite for the 'parents' Cutest bedroom for the grandkids. One bunkbed plus 2 'open' twins for the taller kids All bedrooms had flatscreen TVs so no fighting over the remote! Owners are SUPER responsive - if we had a question they replied to our texts in minutes The kitchen is a chef's playground with Calphalon pans, Henckels knives, Mikasa dishes - you get the feeling you're at a friend's beach house, not 'some rental' where the owners did the bare minimum. Even the linens and towels (including plenty of beach towels) are top quality and lovely. The lagoon pool in the complex and hot tub are both gorgeous and have shaded palapas and BBQ areas if you want to spend the afternoon/evening watching the kids swim and eating there. That said, we loved having our very own Weber BBQ on the unit's lanai and spent most evenings grilling outside and eating at the large table set. There's an additional lanai (patio for us mainlanders) upstairs off the master bedroom with a comfy two person chaise - great for reading or napping. The golf cart is the star of the show. I'm 77 and have a bad knee and having the little "GEM" car made is so easy for me to get anywhere I wanted to go. The beach is an easy & flat half mile walk from the unit but sometimes (as we age ;-) even a tiny half mile seems too far so I'd just hop in the golf cart and go! Each lagoon has special 'golf cart only' parking. We felt so sorry for the people in 'regular' cars who would wait for hours for one of the precious parking spots while we'd just zip around the line and swing into our cute little golf cart spot. We used it EVERY day to go to the beaches, ABC store and great restaurants like Monkeypod (go for happy hour!). We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked our return already for 2015!

Perfection in Paradise

5 of 5
We stayed at this lovely penthouse in the summer of 2013 and couldn't have been happier. The place is beautiful and the view is breathtaking. The complex is wonderfully maintained with lovely koi ponds and gardens throughout. We started each morning and ended each night with a walk along the boardwalk. We loved visiting the resorts along the route, some of which were quite lively but we're always pleased that we could return to our quieter complex. This allowed for the best of both worlds. Our favourite thing to do was to lounge on our lanai, taking in the incredible views. Fortunately both the unit and the complex offers very comfortable lounge chairs perfect for enjoying the best weather on the planet. We can't begin to explain how sad we were to leave after our 10 day visit and are currently making arrangements to return again next summer. I would highly recommend the Ko Olina complex and in particular this unit. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic year in Hawaii

5 of 5
My family and I spent nearly a year living in Hawaii Kai at Kokokai Palace. my wife and I have seven children and it was a challenge to find a home large enough to accommodate us. Kokokai Palace provided everything that we needed and more. During our year we had nearly 30 visitors and we were able to accommodate all of them with ease! We thoroughly enjoyed the home during our stay. The views are dramatic. Having the pool and courtyard integrated into the home was very convenient and allowed us to enjoy the tropical setting to the maximum. The meditation gazebo available to us was also special. It was a great place to sit and watch the sunset over Diamondhead. Now that we are back in Nebraska, suffering through frigid temperatures, we miss Kokokai Palace more than ever! We hope to visit Milan in Hawaii again. it is too bad that our responsibilities on the mainland keep us away. The Carlson family
