Great Location, Well appointed

5 of 5
I was traveling solo for business and found this property to the perfect place to call home base for so many reasons. First, there is a parking spot which is hard to find with small properties on this part of the island. The cottage was clean and everything worked just fine. There is a Whole Foods up the road which is a 3 minute drive so you can grab what you need. Alternatively, on Saturday's the KCC farmer's market starts at 7:30am and is only a few minutes up the road as well. It gets packed fast, so be prepared. Lastly, having the beach park right across the street is a complete selling point for this property; calm waters and a relatively empty beach will beckon you. The property owner and manager we're quick to answer any questions, so definitely consider this cottage for your next trip.

Loved it!

4 of 5
We had 3 adults & 2 children & had plenty of room. There was not much of a beach at the house when we were there so we didn't get to spend the amount of time lounging on our "almost private beach" as we had planned. The house was suprisingly clean. We travel a lot and have stayed in some pretty scary places. But we felt right at home here with no need to wipe things down before my kids started touching everything. The beds were very comfortable. The King size bed had a very thick foam pad on top which I really liked. It was extremly hot & humid while we were there & with no a/c it could get pretty uncomfortable. But there are 5 ceiling fans and 2 floor fans which helped a lot. Most of the time there was a really nice ocean breeze. However when 2 hurricane's decide to vacation in Hawaii at the same time as you do all winds stop. But after they were out of the area the winds started up again. Deb was great thru both hurricanes. She called to make sure we were aware and updated on the storms and gave us her advice and opinions on what to do as we were nervous nelly's due to the fact that we are from Ohio and basicly live in the middle of a corn field (as most Ohioans do) so the ocean during a hurricane can be quite intimidating. I loved having a washer and dryer. We were able to pack lighter and do laundry a couple of times which left more room to take home souvenirs. The location of the house ended up being a little too far north for us. We ended up spending a lot more time on the southern part of the island than we thot we would. But this in part was due to the fact that it was our 1st time there so we had to do all the "touristy" things and that we have friends that live in Honolulu that we went to visit several times. Ended up spending a lot more time in the car than we expected. & with a 3 & 7 year old it made our days a lot longer than we would have liked. It was pretty noisy most of the time due to the Kam Highway directly in front of the house, the ocean roaring behind it and 7 fans running all the time. But we got used to it after awhile. All in all we had a great time at this house. I would definitely recommend it. Thanks Deb for being so accommidating. We really enjoyed our time on Oahu. And since the hurricanes may or may not have been our fault since bad weather seems to follow us I will be sure to let you know where we will be vacationing in the future so u can plan accordingly. Unbelievable North Shore Oahu Cottage Rental

5 of 5
We had the pleasure of renting this great place for 3 weeks in July 2014 when our house sold. The cottage is very roomy (although we barely were in the actual house as the screened in lanai, beautiful ocean front lawn and great surrounding beaches is where we spent most of our time) All the specifics were meticulously handled by the manager of the property so arrival, our time there and departure were smooth as silk. We arrived to a beautifully manicured landscaped yard, a nice clean home with many little extras to make your stay even more enjoyable and the HUGE ocean view right out the doorstep. It should be noted that this house is on a 2 home property although both homes have totally separate gates and driveways and even beach access. Even though there is another home on the property (it really is no closer than a neighboring home would be here on the beach) the clever way they landscaped and put shade fences, etc you really don;t even notice it. The small beach and tide pools directly out front make for sun mornings and evening of exploration and with the right tide, lots of turtles right out front. The house itself is nice and has everything you need including a gas grill, washer/dryer, comfortable beds and even nice room ac's if you choose, but you can not beat the sound of the ocean on the rocks lulling you to sleep each night. Highly recommended!
