Amazing condo in a serene setting!

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay in this property. If you want the quiet feel of Maui, but only a short drive to Honolulu, this is the place for you! We wanted to see all the sights of Oahu but not be in the busyness and traffic of the city. We rented a van for the week and saw Pearl Harbour, the north shore with the surfing and the Polynesian Centre, toured downtown Honolulu, and hiked the Diamond Head crater to see the breathtaking views. The condo was very well equipped and had everything you need for cooking, everyday living, and relaxing. It even has beach towels, snorkel gear, 3 beach chairs, beach toys, and a collapsible cooler! We packed a lunch with us when we went to sight seeing, so the cooler was very much appreciated. We loved all the pools of Koi, the pools for swimming, the hot tub, the communal barbeques, the fitness center (with lots of equipment), and the beach. We even had one day that a seal came up on our beach for the day to sleep. The hotel staff put a rope around the seal so she could sleep peacefully for the day. It was so much fun to have her join us for the day. Denice was great, always responding promptly to my emails. The condo was very clean, which I appreciated. The sunrise every day on the lanai is spectacular. All the pictues of the condo and the resort are spot on, what you see is what you get. If you want a very nice place to stay with serenity, but close to all the top things to see, this is the place for you. I highly recommend it and would definitely go back.

Fantastic place!

We loved this place! The owners really managed to maintain home feel, the condo had everything you can think of on vacation. The view is priceless - the ocean and beach right in front of you. We definitely would love to come back at some point. The manager Deborah was very friendly and helpful. Thank you RIchard and Mary for sharing the place! Sergei, Natasha, Marina from Vancouver

Nice but underwhelmed

4 of 5
Seventh trip to Hawaii but our first trip to Oahu and we knew we didn’t want to be too close to Honolulu so I looked for a condo on the North Shore. It’s hard for me to rate this condo because other than the stellar beaches of the North Shore, I much prefer the other islands. However, if you are looking for a condo near the North Shore surf action, this one is very well located and within walking distance of town that has a few restaurants and food trucks. What I really liked about this unit was that it was directly beach front. We made use several times of the beach—walking it or just hanging out and it was nice to have it right in front of our condo. On the negative, the bedroom is in the front of the unit where the walkway and (more annoyingly) the lights are. This unit does not have air conditioning so the windows need to stay open but the light from the outside made it difficult to sleep on the queen size bed. To her credit, when I mentioned this to the owner, she came out twice—once to remove the bulb by the window and the next time to put in some room darkening curtains. By this time, we had decided just to sleep on the futon in the living room as it was cooler, darker and we could listen to the waves. However, at times I was struck by the fact that I was paying $200/night to make up and sleep on a futon each night. A few other things were frustrating—no dishwasher, no icemaker, no oven and a few lamps that had electrical shorts. In the end, I was less than thrilled but yes, I would stay there again thanks to the quick response of the owner. I’m not sure how this fairs with other units in the area for a similar price point. I guess I just expected more.
