The perfect home away from home but in paradise!

5 of 5
We were looking for a condo in the Turtle Bay area to be close to our family who live in Kaaawa - 20 minutes away. From the time we arrived with the parking space conveniently outside the immaculately landscaped unit - our expectations were exceeded as the "real thing" was better than the descriptions and pictures. The condo was very clean, comfortable and had all the amenities. Bedrooms were furnished nicely - the loft was perfect for our two teenagers with them each have their own beds and bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked equipment-wise with everything you would have in your own home, We appreciated the basic condiments in the fridge and the spice cupboard as well as the necessities that were with the washer and dryer. The lanai was our spot to start the day each morning with coffee at the patio set overlooking the beautiful golf course. We enjoyed the pools which were all close to the condo (never crowded) and made good use of the plush beach towels and beach toys at many of the beaches near Turtle Bay. The location of the condo was great to access many of our favourite spots - Matsumoto's in Haleiwa, Ted's at Sunset Beach and Nozawa's Corn stand in Kahuku (best corn ever!) We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this condo and working with Marti - she is the perfect example of someone with the "aloha spirit"! Mahalo nui loa! We look forward to being back soon!

Comfortable, great location.

4 of 5
Our stay in the little studio in Laie was pure delight! Upon arriving at the property we were met by Martha, the manager. She took us inside for the tour and let us know about the unit. We were a little surprised at how small the unit is, but figured we would make do. It didn't take long for the size to become irrelevant and the efficiency to become a joy. The lanai, yard and beach more than made up for space missing inside. The location was perfect for being able to visit all areas of the island and have a comfortable retreat to return to. The only outside noises we heard were of ocean, and sometimes wind and rain. The unit was clean and well kept and the futon bed made sleeping very comfortable. Our favorite place to get food (take out) was the Korean BBQ in the next little village to the south. Martha and her husband Keld were helpful and served as good neighbors. We would definitely return to this property if we have the chance.

Coming Back Soon!!!

5 of 5
We stayed for two weeks in June of 2014 at Pat's at Punaluu and had the best time. We hope to be coming back very soon! Punaluu offers the lush beauty and rural feel of Kauai, while still giving you access to Oahu's great landmarks! A must stay for anyone who wants to stay on Oahu, but doesn't want to stay in the crowded area of Waikiki or dry area of KoOlina. This unit is a large size 1 bedroom unit that is brilliantly furnished and decorated providing plenty of room for my family of 5 (three kids, ages 17, ,15, & 9). The unit includes a king size bed in the room, a Murphy Bed (Queen Size) in the living room, and two additional futons stored under the Master Bed (King Size), which fit nicely in the living room, without disrupting any of the dining, or couch areas. Punaluu is located on the prettiest side (North East) of the Island. The drive to the place from Honolulu is only 45 minutes. If you miss this drive, you missed Hawaii. Many of the sites along the way, are straight out of the movies and are some of the best Hawaii has to offer. The unit we stayed in was a first floor walk out to the beach, which made it easy to BBQ, refill your Mai Tai's or retrieve any thing you need for a fun day at the beach (just steps from the condo). Wow! Nice Beach with very calm conditions, making it a great swimming beach for kids! Unlike other places further up the North Shore, this place is more centrally located, making the Windward Side of the Island, the North Shore, and Waikiki accessible within a 30-45 minutes drive. The Windward Side offers the Sandbar at Kaneohe Bay (a great sailing / snorkeling excursion), world famous Kailua and Lanikai Beaches, as well as plenty of farmers markets to retrieve island grown produce, banana breads, and other island treats at a discount from local grocery stores. The North Shore drive offerred world famous surfing beaches, a great snorkeling destination (i.e., Sharks Cove), and plenty of Shrimp Trucks and Plate Lunch offerings (Local Food). What would a trip to Oahu be without a day in Waikiki? There is a reason why Waikiki is so crowded? Its awesome and everyone knows it. Still, it was nice to be able to retreat back to my rural Punaluu condo after an exciting day surfing in Waikiki. Coming Back Soon! Definately!
