Awesome Location for Family

4 of 5
Within a 5-10 minute walk to Foodland & (hmm I think it used to be Starbucks) Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Shark's Cove/Three Tables snorkeling haven, & quick drive to Famous Kahuku Shrimp Truck (this time around they tasted better than others) ... as well as a short backyard/alley path to Ke iki beach what more could we ask for? The cottage was convenient, quiet, clean and came with cooler & other items you might need for a day at the beach. And the convenience of packing light because of a washer/dryer?!! awesome. The only thing we could say at that time of the year was that it was humid/hot/no ocean breeze, unfortunately there is only a small air conditioner in kitchen which made for hot nights. Otherwise, having stayed at Turtle Bay on other trips, I'd have to say hand to God no comparison ... We'd stay at the cottage in a heartbeat. mahalo to the owners ^.^

Great spot for the North Shore

5 of 5
This is a great location if you're planning to spend time in the North Shore, you can pretty much walk to Haleiwa if you'd like to check out the stores and restaurants, or just bring some food in and enjoy it on the balcony overlooking the ocean. It's a great spot for snorkeling, I accidentally almost ran into Slowpoke (I call him that), he's the biggest of 2 turtles that was hanging out every day right at the front of the house. The other guy Speedy is a little smaller and is probably Slowpoke's offspring. This is a good spot to go during the windy months, since there's no AC, but when we were there, the breeze would keep the bedroom side cool and the fans were helpful. The bathrooms looked pretty new, the two beach chairs which you can use is perfect for when you just want to hang out by the beach. There's a lot of utensils in the kitchen and the flooring is just right for you to walk on without having to bring in any shoes. The hallways do carry sound, so the neighbors know to try to stick to the quiet time of 10pm to 8am, or something like that. It was a good place to start our trip.

Dream Rental!

5 of 5
We absolutely loved this rental! Very clean, lovely decor, and gorgeous property. The beach was steps away and most of the time it was all ours! Shade (if you wanted it), sun, sand, and surf were all fabulous. The nearby Polynesian Cultural Center, Laie LDS temple, and all the North shore sights are not to be missed! We will be back!
