A great spot

5 of 5
I had the pleasure of spending five nights at the “fishpond cottage.” Molokai is the most local of the Hawaiian islands, and this lovely cottage has a very local feel to it—you could almost imagine you live there. Everything is clean and nice, and the sunsets over the fishpond out back are the perfect way to end a day of exploring. There’s a cute second bedroom with two small beds that would make the cottage comfortable for a family. It’s only a mile or so into Kaunakakai town for the tasty local food. Among the many great things to do on Molokai is hiking down to Kalaupapa, the former leper colony, which is now a national historical park. I enjoyed the cottage a lot and would stay there again in a second.
