Most memorable trip ever!

5 of 5
Such an amazing vacation, I brought my mom & kids, to Honu Hale it was a truly wonderful trip that will bring memories forever. We got to watch turtles swim, and a variety of other fish swimming right from the backyard. So wonderful we will always cherish forever!

Vacation of our dreams!

5 of 5
Our group of 9 had been planning our trip to Oahu for over a year. Linda the caretaker was in contact with us the night prior to our arrival and gave us instructions on getting into the house. She made it very homey right from the start by having nice Hawaiian music playing and the lights and ceiling fans on in the house for our arrival. She checked in with us to make sure we had arrived and that we didn't need anything. We had read reviews about Honu Hale II where people stated that the pictures can't even show how wonderful it is and that was definitely true. When we walked in the front door, we could not even believe the view through the large picture windows at the back of the house that looked out onto the ocean. It was so amazing words can't even describe it! Our group of 9 had plenty of room and every amenity we needed was provided, from dish and laundry detergent, toilet paper, beach towels, plenty of dishes and silverware, and the list goes on and on. My husband is disabled and he had no problem getting around the house with and without his wheelchair. We rented 3 vehicles for the week and had plenty of room with 2 parked in the carport and 1 parked outside the security gate along side of the driveway. Linda and her family even made sure that they stopped by to put out the appropriate trash/recycle bin during the week so that we didn't have to remember to do that little chore. We had originally contemplated getting hotel rooms and staying in Waikiki or Honolulu, but we are so thankful that we took this opportunity to rent a beautiful home in a more relaxed atmosphere on the North Shore away from the chaos of the city. We enjoyed visiting the Sugar Mill several times during the week and the town of Haleiwa which was hopping with the professional surfers in town for the Triple Crown competition. We also stopped by the Dole Plantation a few times and had the pineapple whip ice cream. We had no problems driving to see the sites such as Pearl Harbor, the Swap Meet/Flea Market at Aloha Stadium, a luau at Paradise Cove, a helicopter tour, surfing lessons, kayaking, hiking Diamondhead, biking, horseback riding along the beach, swimming in the ocean, and watching the fireworks at Waikiki. As you can see, we made the most of our week in paradise and we always enjoyed coming home to relax in the beautiful, relaxing home that is Honu Hale II. Mahalo for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful experience and hospitality

5 of 5
WOW!!! Is all I can say in regards to this house and the wonderful help and hospitality by Michalene (the house manager). We had a situation with another VRBO 4 houses down that had sink holes in the yard and he cancelled on us 3 days before we got to Hawaii. I directly called Michalene and she was very understanding and willing to help us rent the house since We were scrambling. I can't thank her enough! The house is awesome!! The ocean waves crashing right against the wall all night with big open windows and doors with the Hawaiian air blowing through, leaves for a true Hawaiian experience. It was hot at times but hey it's Hawaii that's what you expect. We also almost endured our first hurricane but only had tropical storm type rain and waves which kept us in the house that whole day but it's very accommodating and we felt at home as we cooked and played games and watched movies (which there is a wide selection of). You are far enough out of town but close enough at the same time. The beaches just down the road are nice and we didn't see but 2 people in 2 days. We fell in love with the north shore and this house puts you right at the spot to do the same. Thank you Michalene for everything and we will be back!
