Picture Perfect!

5 of 5
This was my husband's first trip to Maui so I wanted to make it special. Needless to say, we were very pleased with our condo at Ma'alaea Banyans. Our Resident Manager, Darin, was very hospitable and helpful from day one. The grounds and pool area were immaculate. The condo was in good condition, comfortable, clean, and with lovely decor and furnishings. Having a ground floor unit allowed easy access to the grounds and pool area. Our favorite time was sitting on the lanai enjoying our morning cup of coffee while watching the sunrise. The kitchen was well equipped and it had everything we needed to feel right at home. The unit was walking distance from Ma'alaea Harbor where on our first day we enjoyed a sunset cocktail cruise with the Pacific Whale Foundation. We also discovered all those amazing surrounding shops and restaurants, like Beach Bums Bar & Grill and Ma'alaea General Store. After driving around the island, we truly appreciated staying at Ma'alaea and being central to all parts of the island. Thank you Brian & Pam for opening your doors to us and sharing your piece of paradise. We definitely will come back!

Little piece of paradise! Away from tourists

5 of 5
Dennis was a wonderful host and went over and beyond by offering us a cooler, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and a little welcome basket kitted with champagne to celebrate our honeymoon! The little ohana is the downstairs of his garage and certainly bears no noise from the road right behind the house. Equipped with a single ring stove on the BBQ, fridge, coffee pot, blender and hot water, there was just enough of a kitchen that we could cook if wanted to but also enjoyed the local restaurants and flavors. The bed is mighty comfortable and even with the sun coming in through the curtains in the morning, it was easy to sleep through. We thoroughly enjoyed eating breakfast on the private deck every morning and watched the turtles eating algae off the rocks below. The entire property is lush and very well decorated with just the right amount of luxury. You are conveniently located a street away from the Maalaea Harbor for a few nice eats but it is only a short drive to Kihei or Lahaina for many more options. We highly recommend Dennis' little oceanfront studio!!!

Absolutely perfect! Indeed a home away from home.

This was our first trip to Maui. Trying to weed through all the listings to find just the right spot is a challenge, but I tell you this condo is PERFECT! It is pretty much centrally located, the community is quiet and hospitable, and the condo is very well kept and has everything one would need to feel at home. There is conveniences within walking distance and nothing seemed to be too far away...even Hana. Although we just missed the whale season, we were entertained nightly by a group of sea turtles that had moved in. Ma'aelea Harbor is a 5 - 10 minute walk, convenient if you want to go out on a snorkel charter or sunset cruise. Ziplining is an adventure that one should experience at least once and we did the Skyline/Eco Adventures in Haleakala. If you're looking for a dinner out and a sunset, dining in Lahaina or at the Whaler's Village in Kaanapali is lovely. And although you are there to see the sites of the island, nothing beats the down time. Kicking back on the lanai, listening to the waves, and watching the sunrise or set is just awesome. Ken and Lori are very helpful and accommodating. We really appreciate them opening up their second home for our well overdue vacation. Thank you. :-)
