WOW!!! Hot tub terrace!

5 of 5
The pictures online do not do this home justice. The view is breathtaking everyday. We spent a lot of time on the lanai next to the ocean eating our meals, playing games, and enjoying the view. We used the hot tub on a daily basis and really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while we watched our son surf on the waves behind the home. The fire pit was an unexpected bonus that allowed us to make smores and enjoy a fireside/oceanside family experience. In the evenings the hot tub was a great retreat for the adults to retire to and enjoy a glass of wine and a relaxing outdoor night experience that is indescribable. The neighbor/host family has a lovely little dog that is very well mannered that we all enjoyed spending time with. He was always excited to see us and the children loved spending time with him. We had 21 people in the home and never felt crowded. Eating meals on the lanai gave us plenty of room when everybody gathered together at once. Tip: We were the first ones to arrive at the house....so we got to choose our bedroom first. Choose the "Sunrise Room". This room is on the second floor and has two large windows that present the ocean to you in a breathtaking manner. You can lay in bed and enjoy watching the sunrise out of the ocean every morning.

Comfortable, great location.

4 of 5
Our stay in the little studio in Laie was pure delight! Upon arriving at the property we were met by Martha, the manager. She took us inside for the tour and let us know about the unit. We were a little surprised at how small the unit is, but figured we would make do. It didn't take long for the size to become irrelevant and the efficiency to become a joy. The lanai, yard and beach more than made up for space missing inside. The location was perfect for being able to visit all areas of the island and have a comfortable retreat to return to. The only outside noises we heard were of ocean, and sometimes wind and rain. The unit was clean and well kept and the futon bed made sleeping very comfortable. Our favorite place to get food (take out) was the Korean BBQ in the next little village to the south. Martha and her husband Keld were helpful and served as good neighbors. We would definitely return to this property if we have the chance.

AMAZING!!

5 of 5
We rented this house from July 7-14. It is truly an AMAZING home and location! It is a nicely furnished home with very comfortable beds! The view is "to die" for and having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was perfect since we traveled with our teenage daughter and son! I would recommend this house to anyone because we had such an incredible vacation and the home was great to come back to everyday! There are boogie boards and snorkeling gear in the closet attached to the garage. It is about a 20-30 minute drive to the North Shore town of Haleiwa where there are shops and restaurants. Fun stuff: Surfing (North Shore Surf Girls were excellent!), swimming with turtles in the ocean at Chuns reef (same beach where we surfed), Waimea Bay beach (there is a HUGE ROCK that juts out into the ocean and we had a blast jumping of the rock at different heights ranging from 8ft to 25 feet! This was the highlight for my teenagers. There are also bathroom facilities), Waimea Bay Beach Park (where a short hike, on pavement, takes you to a waterfall where you can swim right up to it! Life jackets available), ATV ride at Kualoa ranch (amazing and you ride where Jurassic Park was filmed! Gorgeous!), Jet skiing at Haleiwa (right over the bridge behind Haleiwa Joe's restaurant. Look for a small hut. Our kids were surrounded by a school of dolphins out in the ocean!!), snorkeling, and Pearl Harbor (go to the USS Missouri and take the tour. The memorial was closed when we went due to high winds, but the Missouri tour was very interesting). Food: Kahuku Grill (not fancy or $$-next to the gas station...garlic shrimp and dip in french fry sauce), Maui Mikes (on the way to Pearl Harbor. Not fancy either. Get there when it opens at 10:30. Limited seating), Haleiwa Joes (NOT the one in Haleiwa but the other one about 30 minutes south of the house. Fancy dinner and food was superb. There is a botanical garden along with a beautiful view! Wear bug repellant and try to sit by the railing. Call ahead for reservation) and Teds bakery is a good breakfast stop. Not impressed with Giovanni's shrimp truck food. DON'T pass up the opportunity to stay in this GREAT home and lovely area! This was the best VACATION of our lives!!!!
