We had decided to run the Kona marathon and were looking for a nice home to house ourselves, our 2 kids and a family friend. Upon reading the fantastic reviews of Bob's home, we sent an e-mail to inquire about availability. From the very first contact, Bob was kind and accommodating. This was our first VRBO experience and Bob went above and beyond to ensure that we understood every step of the rental process.
Our flight arrived late at night and because Bob gave us very precise directions, we found the home quickly. We took a brief tour of the house which was nicely laid out with beautiful artwork, a gorgeous den, amazing lanai and open and spacious feeling concept. In the morning, we walked out into the beautifully landscaped yard to what can only be described as jaw dropping. The view! Wow. Pictures simply cannot properly describe what we saw. It was love at first sight. I am still having dreams of it.
Bob has thought of everything for a vacationing family. From coffee grinder (for the amazing Kona coffee...check out the farmers market at the shopping centre very close by), the beach gear (boogie boards were so much fun), the water feature off the master bedroom (let the sounds of a trickling waterfall lull you to sleep), to the tiki torches (for the authentic Hawaiian experience), Sunset Villa is absolute perfection. I will never forget the sunsets from the beautiful patio, the zen garden, the indoor and outdoor shower, and the early morning swims just a few steps from the master bedroom.
Although the aesthetics of this home were amazing, the location convenient, and the view utterly breathtaking, our favourite aspect of this property was Bob. He made every part of arranging our trip easy and was so kind in the process. He truly went above and beyond.
We are excited to return to Kona. The date will depend on the availability of this home. If you are trying to choose a home to rent for your next Kona vacation, you will not be disappointed with this exclusive, gated community home. This was our best vacation ever. Mahalo, Bob!
