Spectacular in Everyway!

5 of 5
Ridiculously beautiful view from a giant, airy suite overlooking the ocean and coffee orchard. The pictures do not do this fantastic studio apartment justice - it's stunning, yet simple and elegant. Carol is a gracious, generous and thoughtful hostess, providing everything a traveler needs, from travel/ Hawaii history/plant/animal books to soaps to linens to beach/adventure gear to her delish organic coffee to filtered water, grill, super comfy bed and more! The suite is gorgeous, light-filled with skylights and tastefully furnished with little nooks for eating, reading and relaxing. Definitely the most beautiful and most quiet place we stayed in on our 3 week island adventure. A suite like this in a hotel or resort would easily be in the several hundred dollar range. Fast wifi, cable, gorgeous bathroom with amazing shower; every wall is a window so you can see the ocean, sunrise, sunset, horses, wild turkeys, avocado and coffee trees and the rest of paradise. Or you can draw the shades and sleep-in. Conveniently located up the mountain from Captain Cook, which has a grocery. A perfect getaway/adventure-base/vacation hideaway. I would never leave if I lived here....

Daily sunsets, sea breezes and sea turtles

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Townhouse 3 is a well equipped accommodation in a quiet area 5 miles south of Kona. We loved the location and the number of activities nearby such as snorkelling, tennis, paddle boarding, kayaking, manta swimming, etc. The unit is very home like with lots of extras. We have already booked a return visit. Manager responded on 12/9/2014: Thank you so much for your great review on KKSR#3! We are looking forward to accommodating you again! -Blake Kessner, Property Manager

Ocean at the Door

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this condo since it showed the ocean breaking a few yards away. Absolutely true! Wave sounds all night were wonderful. Afternoons the sun was too hot to sit on ocean side but plenty of other places in community and in the area. The community is very quiet, much more so than other places we've stayed, and the pool is large and very nice. Two ancient Hawaiian ruins are on the property, along with much beautiful and mature vegetation. Adjoining are a nice golf course and a great, quiet beach. Cindy at Kona Rentals was extremely responsive to any issue or question. The unit needs a little bit of TLC, but nothing at all serious and it must be very difficult with the ocean salt and humidity so close. Saw a whale family close offshore with daddy whale making big leap. One full bath is upstairs along with both bedrooms, but the other was downstairs...a bit difficult for our friends. Overall, we had a wonderful time and loved the place.
