We had a Great Trip!

4 of 5
We had a great trip!! We visit the Big Island at least once a year and always enjoy!! Your place is very nicely situated on the bay. Much enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast on the lanai. Very nice spot. We especially enjoyed the ocean-side pool... Great location with the crashing waves and usually quiet (ie very few kids splashing around). We used the floating mattress in the pool, the beach chairs and of course the little cooler. I'd fill it with ice and a few beers and head to the pool. Also spent a few hours on the black sand down below the condo, what a great spot to just watch the waves and veg!! A refresh may be in order. But the layout is fine. One comment we both had was A/C would be a definite bonus. We've stayed in non-A/C condos before, but in the winter months when its a few degrees cooler. We really noticed it this trip. Once we got the fans going it was a little better, but even the evenings were quiet warm this trip. Another thing specific to our own personal taste would be a TV in the bedroom. We tend to like laying in bed and falling asleep to a movie or something, but that's just us. For us, the mattress was fine, we sleep on a firm mattress at home and were quite comfortable. I'd give it a strong 8.5/10, but on a scale of 1-5, its a 4.. A refresh and A/C would put you over the top. We much enjoyed it and will consider staying again (but maybe in the winter months) All in all, you've got a great little spot there!!

artistically decorated and comfortable cottage

5 of 5
This lovely cottage was comfort and beauty. our party of four arrived late at night and felt a little timid traveling down the hill and finding the home, beware little lighting along the road. But the home upon arrival was great. so prettily decorated with the artistry and furniture, this home is a home away from home. Although we didn't hear the whale song nor see any dolphins, we enjoyed a daily breakfast on the lanai overlooking that spectacular ocean view. This home is well equipped with bathroom toiletries and kitchen condiments. The furniture was oh so comfy. We were 4 55 years and older travelers who enjoyed the black sand beach down the road from us, it was almost a private beach. We were near enough to Kona to find the beer brewery company there and enjoyed the tour and pizza. This home is a welcome beacon to travelers, down to the fresh fruit, coffee and lovely flower arrangement on the lanai.

Our First Time to the Big Island!

5 of 5
We completely enjoyed our time at this unit... every moment! Our most favorite feature was that it is located right on the ocean. Every morning we sat on the lanai drinking coffee and having breakfast, relaxing, and listening to the ocean. We were entertained by watching the dolphins jump and spin. The unit is very comfortably layed out, and the complex was quiet because there are only 6 units. Although the main road was somewhat busy, we were pleased that the complex is located a couple of miles away from the main tourist area. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and gave us lots of tips about the island, things to do, places to visit and eat. The condo is very well kept and was well stocked with things we may have needed. We are already talking about planning our next trip to Hale Pohaku!
