Fabulous place to stay

5 of 5
Thank you Bruce for letting me stay in your beautiful home. This home is wonderfully situated from the scenery to the location. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would possibly need for cooking. If you are not in the mood for cooking there are great restaurants nearby. Try to catch the Huli chicken man. The chicken he cooks is mouth watering. The store in Waimea is only a few miles away. You will be able to pick up everything you need there or you can stop at the store in Kona before you head to the house. I loved the décor of the house. It is very comfortable and peaceful. I spent a lot of time admiring the art in the house. My favorite feature was the shower in the master bath. Wow! Would have been great to share that with someone, lol. There are grounds on the property are wonderful. I spent a lot of time in the pool. It is fabulous at night will all the stars overhead. Watching all the birds and geckos is very entertaining. The wild turkeys come to the pool every afternoon to get a drink. Spent a lot of time driving around admiring the scenery. I was able to drive to the Waipio Valley lookout. This is a must see. I tried to drive north to see the Pololu valley but got lost somewhere along the way. Even that was fun. Seeing the natural beauty of Hawaii is very good for the soul. If you stop by the guard house at the gate, they are very helpful with directions and places to go. I obviously didn't ask for their help in getting to the Pololu valley or where to find a sandy beach. I will next time. I will definitely be back next year.

Nice house

2nd time we've rented this and it's beautiful and private. Owners have made many nice improvements...and the landscaping is gorgeous. A really comfortable house with many nice sitting/gathering areas. Kitchen is big and super well equipped.

Simply wonderful

5 of 5
A wonderful place to stay -- a beautiful, spacious, well-equipped house in an amazing setting. As one reviewer said, the pictures don't begin to capture the beauty of this place. Owner and caretaker were also very helpful and accommodating. We used the tennis courts and pool every day but also were well positioned for many excursions. The best beaches are within 20 minutes as is Waimea, which offers some great restaurants (Merriman's), farmers market and a large supermarket.
