Dream Vacation

5 of 5
This is the most beautiful Hawaiian home - right on the ocean, with a wonderful beach to walk on, a lovely lawn area, a hammock between Palm trees, and the nicest Infiniti pool and deck! It is a lovely home, inside and out. We loved our meals on the lanai as we listened to teh roar of the ocean. The kitchen is fantastic! All the rooms are comfortable. We did not spend much time indoors, but the home is well furnished. Puako is a lovely little town. The General Store has lots of supplies. We loved walking along the Main Street, visiting the little church, and walking along the Puako ocean front homes. The home is accommodating for a wheelchair person. A member of our party was able to enjoy a lovely room on the main level, and he loved sitting by the pool and in the lanai area. The owners have made the home accessible and enjoyable for the handicapped vacationer. This is a beautiful home. It was perfect for our dream vacation.

Fabulous place to stay

5 of 5
Thank you Bruce for letting me stay in your beautiful home. This home is wonderfully situated from the scenery to the location. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would possibly need for cooking. If you are not in the mood for cooking there are great restaurants nearby. Try to catch the Huli chicken man. The chicken he cooks is mouth watering. The store in Waimea is only a few miles away. You will be able to pick up everything you need there or you can stop at the store in Kona before you head to the house. I loved the décor of the house. It is very comfortable and peaceful. I spent a lot of time admiring the art in the house. My favorite feature was the shower in the master bath. Wow! Would have been great to share that with someone, lol. There are grounds on the property are wonderful. I spent a lot of time in the pool. It is fabulous at night will all the stars overhead. Watching all the birds and geckos is very entertaining. The wild turkeys come to the pool every afternoon to get a drink. Spent a lot of time driving around admiring the scenery. I was able to drive to the Waipio Valley lookout. This is a must see. I tried to drive north to see the Pololu valley but got lost somewhere along the way. Even that was fun. Seeing the natural beauty of Hawaii is very good for the soul. If you stop by the guard house at the gate, they are very helpful with directions and places to go. I obviously didn't ask for their help in getting to the Pololu valley or where to find a sandy beach. I will next time. I will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful!

5 of 5
This villa is spacious, beautiful, well appointed and private. The pool and pool deck are spacious with incredible ocean and mountain views, and comfortable furniture. We could actually see whales breaching from the pool deck with binoculars (provided). The lush grounds are gorgeous overlooking golf course. Very large open concept living and dining area, nice kitchen with island and adjoining laundry, two large bedrooms on opposite ends of villa with HUGE adjoining bathrooms and powder room off living area. All furniture and beds very comfortable. Each bedroom has covered lanai that leads to pool and pool deck. Outdoor grill. You have full use of Mauna Kea Resort, including huge pool, beaches with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Towels and lounge covers provided. Nice beachside restaurant for lunch and a tiki bar. Very good restaurant for dinner. Luaus and special events available. 5 minutes away in the quaint little town of Kawaihae Harbor are fishing charters, sunset whale cruises and day cruises with snorkeling, dolphin and whale watching with Endless Summer Private Charters. All that said, the most important perk of this stay is your contact person for the villa and charters, Penny Ritter. She is a local and knows all the cool places to go and will make your reservations. She also stocked the villa with our grocery and wine requests for a nominal fee, all waiting when we arrived. Her knowledge of the area, kindness and concern for your stay to be perfect, is unmatched by anything we've ever experienced. We are going back next year. Can't wait!
