Booked this place because of all the great reviews, and the place and owners did not disappoint. Tucked away in beautiful tropical gardens of plants and fruit outside the quaint town of Hawi. The place was perfect with awesome breezes both day and night, very clean, well organized and stocked with all cooking essentials one could need. Although on the same grounds as the owner's residence, it is very privately tucked away. Greeted with fresh flowers, home grown citrus (very good), and Kona coffee upon our arrival. In short, pretty perfect, especially for the reasonable price. Couple very good restaurants in town, especially Sushi Rock (not your traditional sushi). Bamboo was also pretty good, had a great noodle dish with seared ahi. The Kohala Coffee Mill was great for breakfast as well. Hiking... don't miss the Pololu Valley (real close by). Short hike and can be a little tough when it's raining (bring walking stick). Also Mo'okini Helau is pretty spiritual and almost a little creepy (park a mile out, or you'll likely get your car stuck); and read the history before you go. Short hike to Queen's bath is also very cool... lots of sights in that area. Beaches... tons, but the very best for chillaxin are Hapuna and Mauna Kea. Take your time and explore the whole island. We hit a lot, and still feel like we didn't see enough. Be sure to get yourself Hawaii The Big Island Revealed by Andrew Doughty (aka The Blue Bible). While the owners have a copy in the place, it's an older copy. We found even the most current version (just published in 2014) has a few things outdated, especially when it comes to restaurants. However, overall, the book is pretty spot on! Thanks again Jeff and Jennifer... a magical place. Very much look forward to our next trip to Hawaii and our stay at Tiki Tiki Tomba. Cheers!
