Amazing condo in a serene setting!

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay in this property. If you want the quiet feel of Maui, but only a short drive to Honolulu, this is the place for you! We wanted to see all the sights of Oahu but not be in the busyness and traffic of the city. We rented a van for the week and saw Pearl Harbour, the north shore with the surfing and the Polynesian Centre, toured downtown Honolulu, and hiked the Diamond Head crater to see the breathtaking views. The condo was very well equipped and had everything you need for cooking, everyday living, and relaxing. It even has beach towels, snorkel gear, 3 beach chairs, beach toys, and a collapsible cooler! We packed a lunch with us when we went to sight seeing, so the cooler was very much appreciated. We loved all the pools of Koi, the pools for swimming, the hot tub, the communal barbeques, the fitness center (with lots of equipment), and the beach. We even had one day that a seal came up on our beach for the day to sleep. The hotel staff put a rope around the seal so she could sleep peacefully for the day. It was so much fun to have her join us for the day. Denice was great, always responding promptly to my emails. The condo was very clean, which I appreciated. The sunrise every day on the lanai is spectacular. All the pictues of the condo and the resort are spot on, what you see is what you get. If you want a very nice place to stay with serenity, but close to all the top things to see, this is the place for you. I highly recommend it and would definitely go back.

Best Place on Oahu

5 of 5
I've been to Oahu six times and this beats anything we have stayed at because it is in a gated community, next to ocea, Disney Aulaini, JW Marriott, a great golf course and many shops. There are folks pushing grocery carts living under tarps like Waikiki. Pool and hot tubs work and have reasonable amounts of people. Again, not like sea of humanity on Waikiki and no need to reserve poolside chairs. There are plenty. Weight room, sauna, wet sauna are five star. Now onto the unit...great kitchen and ultimate cooking facilities with plenty of utensils. We cooked in our unit almost every night. Spacious, nice furniture, state of art TVs, decadent bath and showers, all tile, outfitted to please even the very fussy. We will be back again. One tip: rent a small car, parking spaces are miniscule and we got a ticket every night for parking on the line...

Ko Olina Ocean Villa Jan-Feb 2015

5 of 5
A very comfortable and well-maintained villa with partially-obstructed but very attractive ocean view. We stayed for 3 weeks and had excellent Hawaii weather except for a couple of windy days. There is a greeting service to help settle in and provide orientation. In general, everything was easy to find and most facilities are within walking distance. The elevator served only a small number of villas so waiting time was minimal. The villa was very well-prepared and all amenities were provided for, including basic provisions for cooking and cleaning. There was plenty of room to accommodate 6 adults and a small child. Good facilities for TV and internet if you need them. Some of the bedding was a little worn but beds were very comfortable. We used a mid-stay cleaning service which was timely and efficient. There are other vacation resorts within the overall Ko Olina complex but the Beach Villas are much quieter than the others. The grounds and facilities are immaculately maintained. We were able to walk or jog on the ocean walkway every day, use the quiet beach area and snorkel in the lagoon on calm days. We also travelled to nearby areas for hiking. Restaurants within the complex are generally good but expensive. The central "village" contains almost everything needed, including an "ABC" general store. The villa complex has barbecues for residents' use but there is usually a line-up. There are many options for eating and shopping in Kapolei, located about ten minutes drive away. Access to Honolulu via highway is easy but traffic can be bad during busy hours. Overall, the villa provided very good value for money relative to other locations in the area. We'd recommend to our friends and anyone who wants a relaxing family vacation in luxury surroundings.
