Romantic. Quiet. Beautiful. Comfortable. Doesn't get better

5 of 5
If we could offer 6 stars, we would! Char and Gary have created the ultimate romantic and relaxed destination. Why book an uncomfortable room in a giant highrise, when you can have luxury in a more private setting? Aloha Aku is the most beautiful site. The view from your Lanai will be worth a million dollars - perfectly West facing for stunning Sunsets!! The soaking pool and hot tub is a perfect way to end your day after snorkeling or stand up paddle boarding. The units are impeccably apportioned, completely private, and cannot be closer to the quiet beach. The owners provide free stand up paddle boards, beach cruser bikes, snorkel gear, beach towels, reef shoes, and body boards - we figure we saved over $400 for the week from rentals. Aloha Aku is a beautiful site. The view from your Lanai will be worth a million dollars! The fresh fruit, juices, and pastries provided for breakfast are a nice touch. This was the best vacation (actually honeymoon) we could have imagined and we are already planning our schedule to re-book. You should book Aloha Aku too...just don't pick our week ;-)

AlohaAku Paradise

5 of 5
While I would say this is probably not a family unit, it worked well for us for the 9 days we stayed there. Our only problem was the back to back bedrooms. You cannot beat the full kitchen and living area. Wifi was always extremely dependable. All of the toys(paddle boards, kayaks, bikes) and the common area were totally stocked and more than we expected. Char and Gary were available regularly for advice and any needs we had. This specific area of the bay had numerous coral formations several hundred yards off shore that were easily accessible by paddle board and kayak with many sea turtles inhabiting the area, along with a number of larger reef fish. Privacy is not a concern. 700 feet from Kihei Road with a very friendly public course just up the hill. Right in the heart of Kihei with out all the noise of the street side condos. We will be back, maybe without the teenage boys next time.

True Paradise!!

5 of 5
As we drove down the long, private, palm tree-lined driveway approaching the estate, we knew we had discovered something special. We instantly felt “at home” as we were greeted by our lovely host Charlene. Little did we know, we were soon to discover our own personal paradise! Charlene led the way on a tour of the grounds as she explained the amenities available at the Aloha Aku. We were amazed as we traversed the “Common Area” where life jackets, snorkel gear, beach chairs & mats, healthy continental breakfast snacks and a variety of other useful items could be found. Other fabulous amenities included: a washer & dryer, bicycles, kayaks and paddleboards, all available for our use (free of charge). If you have ever vacationed, you are aware of the high costs associated with renting bicycles, kayaks and even snorkel gear!! On to the Honu Suite, where we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and tasteful decor; it was simply beautiful! My husband and I were on our honeymoon; little did I know that he and Charlene had conspired to surprise me with some incredible delights awaiting our arrival, which included: champagne on ice, chocolate-covered strawberries, two dozen roses and a giant heart (made of rose pedals) displayed on our bed! The items were thoughtfully and beautifully displayed, awaiting our arrival. Throughout our stay we enjoyed long walks on the beach, kayaking in the early morning hours, lounging in the wading pool, soothing our over-worked and weary bodies in the Jacuzzi and relaxing on our lanai. During our kayaking adventures (in front of Aloha Aku) we discovered our own Turtle Town; turtles galore, that could be seen through the water frolicking below! At the onset of our stay we asked Charlene if she could recommend a good masseuse. Not only did she recommend two incredible massage therapists, she arranged for them to provide our massage on-site! We enjoyed a couples’ massage on our lanai, as a gentle rain fell from the sky and provided an even more relaxing experience! Our stay at the Aloha Aku was amazingly relaxing, not to mention an incredible value! Charlene & Gary were superb and accommodating hosts. Aloha Aku would be hard to top; it exceeded our expectations on every level! We will, without a doubt, be visiting again soon!
