Excellent location to stay!

5 of 5
Greg and I arrived late, Sunday night, and Dan and Sarah had our "home" for the week all ready for us. They include a very handy scrapbook, with all the information one needs to find the best beaches, grocery stores, and amenities. The location is perfect (very close to the beach, but tucked away in a beautiful, local neighourhood). The cottage is very well maintained, and clean. Their yard is absolutely stunning! Dan and Sarah attend to details, and there were helpful hints not only in the scrapbook, but located throughout the cottage. For example, drawers, closets, etc had helpful labels, and tips. There is an outdoor hose and shower to clean off after the beach. A washing machine is provided, with a clothesline to dry your clothes. They also provide beach mats, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, and sand sport equipment, which can all be found in the large laundry closet. Sarah and Dan are friendly, kind and helpful; you truly feel at home for the duration of your stay. We would highly recommend this property to our friends and family, and cannot wait to return! For sport, we swim, bike and run. This property's location gave us the convenience of riding and running out the front door, and the local pool was very close as well. It was also a very quick drive to get onto the highway to explore other parts of the island. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. As I already said, we cannot wait to return! Hidden Paradise

5 of 5
What a great two weeks we had at the cottage! Two couples called this place home for two weeks. You will not be disappointed as Carrie has thought of everything! Once you walk through the garden doors you know you have arrived in a hidden paradise. The highlights are your own pool, hot tub and tiki bar and a fire pit for the evenings. Carrie and her family truly make you feel at home and part of their family. And of course the dogs, Willie K and Georgia were a hit with everyone. Would highly recommend and we cannot wait to come back! The James and Taylors!

If you are looking for the perfect Maui vacation get away set apart from the hustle of the tourist places - this is an excellent choice. The cottage is top notch, everything is high quality and the owners are very accomodating. The cottage is about 3 turns and a mile off the main highway. It is a 5 minute drive to the beaches and businesses / restaurants in Kihei. It is about a 20 mile drive to Lahaina (time varys with traffic) and 20 minutes to the Kalahui airport. The upstairs of the cottage is a great room combination of living room and kitchen with a 8 ft. sliding door to the 9X18 ft. lanai w/awning looking directly at the mountains / ocean / and sunsets. Also upstairs is a 1/2 bath and the laundry facility. There is a large fullsize refrigerator with ice maker, a dishwasher, and a gas grill to cook out with. There is air conditioning upstairs in the unit only - but we never closed the windows or doors the entire six days of our stay and never felt we needed A/C. The downstairs is a large bedroom with four poster bed, another wonderful view, and two sliding doors to another private sitting area. No A/C downstairs but who needs it? Also on the lower level is the full bath. Three ceiling fans in the unit (2 down / 1 up). Even the shower has a million dollar view. It is about 75 feet from your parking spot and down some concrete steps to the cottage, so it's not set up for wheel chairs or walkers (I had to add something that wasn't completely positive so you know the owners didn't write this) :-)) On a scale of 1 to 10, we give the hill top cottage a 9+! Feel free to email us if you have any specific questions. Mike and Bonnie - May 2007
