The condo was perfect!!!!!!!

5 of 5
Everything was perfect!!! The location was great close enough to everything we wanted to do. We also used the beach chairs and snorkle gear that was provided.

A Most Unique Stay

5 of 5
My wife and I picked Sarah & Dan's studio primarily because it was in the price range we were looking at and the great reviews. The other important factor was that they actually answered our request, most others did not! Further to this Sarah & Dan sent follow up emails to help us make other decisions, such as the car rental choice and things to do and see. Just before we left for Maui they confirmed our stay with easy and helpful instructions upon our arrival. We arrived in Maui, got our rental car without a hitch - the one they recommended. We drove to their place which is in a residential suburb, typical of Kihei. If you are looking for granite counter tops, brand new state of the art everything and want to pay a nightly rental rate that makes you wonder if you are buying the place, then this is not the rental for you. Sarah & Dan's studio is well used, homey, clean and with many extras like all the accessory beach gear you need. You arrive as a tourist, but also become somewhat immersed as a temporary local since you need to explore, shop and cook. What is most exceptional about Sarah & Dan's place, is Sarah & Dan themselves. Like the other reviews state over and over again, these two make you feel like family, not just strangers sharing a monetary contract. They invited us to supper with them, cooked and fed us. We shared stories and played games together on several evenings. We became friends, plain and simple. Their hospitality is 10 out of 5! Yet they did not impose themselves upon you in anyway, they always respected your privacy. For these reasons we called this " a unique experience. " We would rent from Sarah and Dan again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone looking for a more genuine holiday in Maui. My only suggestion for improvement would be a small couch for two to watch TV in the evening. Mahalo Sarah & Dan for your cozy studio, but most of all your friendship. Active Senior on a Return Visit

5 of 5
I said in my review last year that I would love to return to this cozy condo, and I was lucky enough to come back again this year! Having been here before made it much more comfortable, as everything was familiar and I knew what to expect and knew how to get around. This time, I was more adventurous in my walks and in taking the buses all around Maui. It was very windy this year, so I enjoyed the little beach and grassy park right across the street, as it was more sheltered from the wind and blowing sand than the regular beaches. I also discovered some farmers' markets with fresh fruit and vegetables within walking or busing distances. As I travelled up and down South Kihei Road, I found out that this part of Kihei is the most pleasant as it's much less crowded and busy. I love this place!
