              Big Island Nirvana

This is simply an amazing home. The lay out of the house is perfect for families and the house itself is beautiful. It overlooks Kealakekua bay and the Captain Cook monument. Fabulous sunsets over the ocean, beautiful water to gaze at, put your SUP and paddle across looking at all the sea life and very likely being entertained by the resident Spinner dolphins. In the heart of Kona coffee country for those who want to visit a farm and taste great coffee. Can't say enough good things, can't wait till I get the chance to return.

              Loved it!

This is the best location for snorkeling that the Big Island has to offer! On our first day we were snorkeling with a sea turtle, a manta ray and hundreds of fish right off the backside off the house. There is very easy access to the ocean if you follow the path down and walk less than 50 yards across the lava flow. It was very clean and well-maintained, had all the extra amenities you could need and plenty of space. We shopped at Costco in Kona upon our arrival to pick up our staple items, but purchased local fruits, vegetables and eggs right up the road from the house. It was a full days drive to visit Volcano National Park and another day to see the sites in Hilo & Mauna Kea Observatory, but was great to come back to the ocean breeze in the evenings. We also rented kayaks a few blocks away and spent another day exploring and snorkeling the areas around Captain Cook's Monument and the shorelines around the house. I hope this home is available again next year as we had a fantastic time!
